Well, it's been about 2 months now...it's been so nice here the past 2 months, I've been going to the gym after work, and then going home and running with the dogs. I was mostly just taking them for a little jog to get some exercise, but now it's turned into almost an addiction- and I've never been a runner.
At first, I was running maybe a total of a mile....and having to stop every so often for about 15 seconds to rest. Well, I'm happy to say- I'm now up to THREE miles, and I only stop to let the dogs tinkle!! :weights:
The best part- after my body started realizing it's really time to lose weight- the rest of this baby flab seems to be finally coming off- I've lost 9 lbs in the past 6 weeks! I only have 5 lbs to get back to where I was when I got prego, and another 12ish total to lose....funny my body doesn't look the same though. :(
That leads me to my next 2 issue- the top of my knees hurt- like right above my knee caps. They just sort of ache after my knees have been bent, and I straighten them out. Any remedies or thoughts on this? And, I need some really cushy shoes. I just bought Asics, and they are no good. So, I switched to some older Brooks which seem to absorb the shock way better. Anyone have some running shoes they swear by?
