  • Unspoken Insecurity about leg day

We all know how much bigger and better we look with a pump on delt, arm, back, or chest day. Its easy to strut around the gym on those days feeling like a million bucks.

BUT then leg day comes. All the blood is in our legs making our upper body look even more deflated then usual. One of those mental fucks in the gym that we all feel but rarely talk about.

I've even gone so far as to do a few sets of Delts or Arms before leg training to be a bit more pumped up top. Lol. Ghey

Sorry brother I cannot relate to that feeling. After a devastating leg workout my whole body feels great, obviously not directly thereafter, but the next few days following the burn in my legs somehow makes me feel like I really accomplished something through out my body. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

I go to a private gym, rarely anybody in there when i go...so no insecurity issues about ppl eyeballin me. I am guilty of almost always doing a few bi/tri sets at the end of a leg workout to get a little pump goin for the day tho.lol

That's not what I'm talking about. I love to destory Legs as well and have that sense of accomplishment. I'm just talking about the way upper body looks during a leg workout. No pump at all.

I get it. But it doesn't affect me mentally like what you are talking about.

I can't relate bro. I don't think I've ever done legs and my upper body not be pumped or sore, which in return gives me that pump. I go train and leave. I don't need to feel like a king or walking around knowing someone will look at me and think negatively. My mind is stronger than that. I just don't get those mind fuck games that flow through that brain of yours.

                      mistake bro.

i said the same thing to rocket and he eventually admitted it.

i know it seems like a good idea but a home gym leads to a less intense workout. i know what you tell yourself.. "nah not me ill train hard for me". but when you have a little competition in the gym you train harder sub consciously.

I used to say the same thing and recently I said fuck all that I don't wanna show off bullshit. I'm traing hard, taking drugs, looking good and showing my shit off.

P.S. I flex in between sets too.

I home train as well but I do it it because no local gyms allow chalk, I won't get in trouble for throwing weights around, and there is no excuse to not put the work in when the gym is in your house. Fuck what other people think and fuck their rules. Also no gyms have the grip equipment I use.

Ha this is so true. We worked out hard at my garage witch is a 4 car garage filled with top notch equipment 35k to be exact. But I've made way more progress at gold in 8 months than I did in the last 2-3 years at my house. I used to half ass the 120s on incline now at gym I'm slapping the 140s getting ready for 150s
My legs grew at least a inch also. It is def the comp like B said.
I try to lung what others squat. I want the 150s cuz that the biggest gum has ect ect

Now the leg thing no lie not even close I'm big all the time with or without pump my only thought on leg day is who is gonna do more me or the guy squating and that is exactly what B is talking about the completion thing
