  • Today's workout

    Shoulders - I'm just about able to do fullish workouts now and recorded a set of each exercise apart from the rear delt work I did which was after side laterals and before shrugs. It's helpf for me to chart progress too but I thought it may be of interest to show the full workout instead of just single exercises here and there.

    Yeah I know I'm a bit chubby but rememberI was incapacitated so work to do

    Still looking thick brother! Good for you man!!

    Only part I cringed at was your opening standing barbell presses. I would think it would put unneeded stress on your back. Having a a support while you're pressing would seem to make more sense to me.

      yea i don't like the standing shoulder press or the standing shrugs. not with your past back issues.

      I'd rather see you do them both seated using DB's with the back of the seat completely up against your back for that extra support.

        I generally change movements each week so the standing bb military press happens about 6 times a year.

        It's not like I'm squatting 6 plates but I take your point.

        One thing you should note which may supreme you. Lay on your back the ligaments hold your spine at 25% of pressure, stood up its 100%. Seated it's way over 100%!!

        But seated holds it fixed and supported in place.

        Maybe some seated dumell shrugs next time
