oh, I get that bro, but If something was wrong Id know it. I know its not fixing that arthritis in my hands but its allowing me to use my hands again, you have no clue how much it sucks not to be able to hold a damn tooth brush with out it hurting. My biggest thing I have to worry about is my tendons coming off my elbows, If you remember Ive partially torn them from the bone before. that's what I have to really watch..

you are wrong thinking you will always have a warning sign before an injury. they can come out of nowhere bro.

you said if something was wrong you would know it. that's what i was referring to. sometimes there are no signs until it's too late.

oh I agree when shit happens its gonna happen. I get that bro, What I'm saying is my hands able to grab shit and hold on, the arthritis takes that ability away form you. imagine grabbing a bag of potato chips..grabbing both sides of the bag at the top along the seem, and trying to pull it apart to open it.. imagine not having the strength in your hands to do such a simple thing.. that's how bad that shit gets, when you cant hold onto something, you cant use it. you cant turn a screw driver..hold and swing a hammer.. That's what the real low dose of deca has allowed me to do again..use my hands. lol...im gonna use them as long as I can too!:D

Good stuff! I worked my way up to 90lb DBs. My joints felt like they were going to pop. I am definitely limited more by the strength of my joints than the muscles themselves. I stay in the 75-80lb range these days and just increase reps or sets if needed. But the PR at 90lbs sure felt good to accomplish.

Who all here has ripped their Pec muscle? Bouncer, Rado, and Beast? And did all 3 of you do it with dumbell press? I also go pretty heavy with dumbell press (85-95lb) and need to take this into consideration.

i haven't ripped anything. i'm just warning rip on his specific case of having a bunch of injuries being masked be decas anti inflammatory effects and lubrication.

LOL I get where B is coming from, but the whole point of me trying a real low dose of DECA was for the arthritis relief, and its working well. I was limited in what I could do because of my hands being so bad with it. It helps alot! Does it fix the issue..no.. I get it but as long as I can use my hands like I should and always did because of the relief it provides I'm going to.

On the other hand B is waiting in the shadows for me to twist an ankle or break a fucking toenail so he can say..see you dumb fuck...I told you so..:rofl::rofl::rofl:

He's just pissed because he's still stuck at the plastic dumbbell section at his gym.

Bro what do you think is happening with that arthritis while you push heavier and heavier? You are doing more damage. Deca is masking the pain and it does a good job of that but the main thing I warned you about is pushing too hard once you feel better. Your gonna come back to this thread in 6 months and say "fuck bouncer was right, now I can't lift at all. "

I'm not a follower, never have been. I'm not going to join everyone else and be your cheerleader when I know my southern swamper buddy is fucking himself up.

so why not enjoy your new pain free life and enjoy the gym without trying to push the weight up and up. we talked about this well before you started and you agreed it would be stupid to push and harm yourself. go to the gym, train for the pump, train hard. but do not at 50 some years old with major arthritis keep trying to push the weight simply because you are feeling better for the first times in years. you will get to a point where it's so bad the deca wont help bro. please listen to me. what you gonna do if you can't lift or even hunt in 6 months to a year because of what your doing in the gym now?

I agree with all your saying.. But I'm not pushing it further and further every time I'm in the gym. Ive had a goal all along I'm almost there its a long slow road, I'm in no rush. That don't mean I do heavy every time I'm in the gym. I go heavy once a month or so when I feel good and confident. having said that I'm not just gonna fall into a rut and not challenge myself either. I'm not that kinda person. When I first started It took me years to decide on this..remember? I'm cautious and trying to go about it smart, research inquire and learn, then if it seems right for me Ill give it a go. I'm not Traps..LOLO. Jumping all in and fucking my self up..:D

if I do 50 lb. dumbbells 25 lb dumbbells or 75 dumbbells, the pain I felt was the same from the arthritis. It didn't matter on the weight it was about the grip. When pushing the weight is in the palm of the hand not on the joints/ knuckles of the fingers. that's where the arthritis is. I couldn't close my hand and grip anything, from a tooth brush a screw driver or a dumbbell, it didn't matter. now I can.

now, IMO where the weight does make a big difference in my hand grip is say, shrugs...I used to do 110s easy before the arthritis kicked in..now even with the deca helping I don't/ wont go over
80s and on some days I feel that and wont do it. I'm being smart about what I'm doing, I'm not looking to go all out and fuck myself up by no means. I get and understand what your saying. I agree with what your saying, but I'm not gonna just go to the gym and look like I'm working. I'm gonna work within my means I'm comfortable in. Like chadd said, that little voice...I listen to it.:D
