I'm going to have to agree somewhat. Here's a pic of my son and my niece. My son (7 weeks older) was breast feed and she was not. I know there are some genetics in it also, but the doctor had my brother change up his daughters diet because she wasn't gaining enough weight.

So she had no breast milk whatsoever or just wasn't breastfed?

Why wouldn't they at least use a breast pump and bottle feed the baby with it?

Something also to just think about (this is by no means a scientific study, just observation) that my wife just reminded me. My son hasn't been sick at all in the 6 months of his life and my niece has had a few colds and such.

Oh, I know that's a scientific study, I meant the comparison between my son and niece isn't scientific. It just has science to back up the reasons why she has got sick and he hasn't.

I believe it has something to do with breast milk having conundrum or growth hormone in it. I think the myth is also if you don't breast feed them, they'll grow up with a teetee fetish.

I don't think Chase was ever sick until he started going to daycare. Then he started getting sick a lot, and he was breastfed.

Yea and there are enough things for the parents to worry about and the baby to cry and scream about that it's probably nice I don't have to deal with an illness too.

That's the word I was looking for. I thought I read an article where they said that the lack of breastfeeding could make the child more susceptible to growing up to be a serial killer or having issues something. Probably BS considering all the weird off the wall myths these days.

I am still considering doing that.... and in all honesty, the decision NOT to do it isn't for vanity reasons. Quite frankly- it really grosses me out. It just seems so "cowish" to me, if you catch my drift.

I know that babies that are breastfed are healthier. But, it really just grosses me out to think about the baby sort "latching on". Or, being in public and having to breastfeed. And, I also know that breastfeeding helps w/ recovery AND fat loss post pregnancy....so, it's really not a vain decision. I don't know, maybe I'll change my mind, but I just can't stomach it right now.

My implants are under the muscle, so I can breastfeed. Due to that fact, and because breast cancer runs in my family, that's the only way the Dr would do it.

Bad14u- actually after the swelling subsided, they looked really natural. In fact, I had a hard time convincing some they weren't real. As for the skin stretching, right now they look like they did right after surgery....but they are so much heavier.

RS....you may change your mind or you may not, but I have heard that same excuse or reasoning, whatever you want to call it, for people not wanting to breastfeed. After the baby was born though they changed their mind. The bond a mother a child makes during that time is amazing. I wish you all the best in whatever you decide.

But in all honesty- even before I was pregnant and before I got the implants, I didn't want to breastfeed. But, we'll see what happens. :)

I wasn't trying to say that you were using it as an excuse, but I have heard it from others. I think the first time you hold that little booger and he/she starts working his/her way to your breasts...you just may give in....maybe...especially if you haven't pumped any milk out in a while and your boobs feel like they are about to burst. :nerdnew:

If I do change my mind, or at least decide to consider pumping, that could happen.

But, if I still havent' changed my mind after delivery, doctors can now prescribe something for women who don't breastfeed that dries up the milk.
