i "discovered" the deep squat this summer and i love, love, love them. i've worked up slow and careful. i was told a year ago after knee rehab by an osteopath and my PT that i should never even attempt a squat, so i was watching for any sign of pain or strain. today my knees are better than ever!!! no problems with my back either. i think that's been made possible cause i didnt' let my ego get ahead of my game. i do them because i want killer legs and ass. i'm the only woman i've actually seen in my gym doing deep squats, but i think there are at least 1-2 others. for a pretty big gym - sad showing IMO!
