That's not good. Maybe an infection...

You should probably get it looked at. The sooner the better.

If there was no redness and heat and whatnot you would probably be ok, just painful juice.

Tell them whatever you like. The spider bite thing is plausable I suppose.

You really don't want "steroid" anywhere in your medical files so deny, deny, deny.

I haven't had it happen to me, but I've seen posts with pics of similiar problems. They were red and swollen, looked like a hell of a lump. They seemed to go down after a day or two. Check to see if you have a temp. If so, you could be fighting an infection. You can't fool an md, they'll know it was an injection of something. So, if you go, be up front and be prepared for a lecture. But, they'll hook you up with some keflex.

Not that I am aware of. Unless you have an anti-biotic in your medicine cabinet or have access to some, you'll need to get it at a pharmacy.

If you want to try and pull off a spider bite, you'll need to stick the pin in again right next to the first site. You want the appearance of 2 teeth marks. My brother was bit by a brown recluse (sp?) spider and had a hell of an infection. That was in North Carolina.

Did you use a clean needle the first time and an alcohol swab before and after the injection?
