What you probably had is an intramuscular heamatoma - just popping anti biotics (especially penicillin - which is commonly used for STD) will fuck you up in the long run - as with any drug your body start adapting to it - so when you really need it your body will not react to it - thus leaving you as they sy in ebonics - FUCKED.

The redness around the site is in a way normal - your body is reacting to a foreign object and trying to reject it - however - should the redness spread you will need to get it checked out.

If you follow all the normal sterile procedures and not shoot in a vein your chances is about 99.999 % that all is fine.

Muscle inflamation caused by bleeding in the muscle normally causes a tender or sore spot - by using heat packs and anti inflamatory drugs (Voltaren, Reparil which i prefer as it comes in gel form and tabs) should clear it up.

Another way of helping the fluid you inject not to build up in one spot thus causing inflamation is by warming up the liquid (not to boiling point) warming up the muscle which you are about to inject by means of a hot bath or hot pack and so forth.................

Quad shots are always painful. I won't go near there again. Tell the doctor you were doing a b12 injection.

if you tell them your problem the easier it is for them to help you because i am a emt i know these things tell them you injected the stuff then they can help you a lot easier..

okay anyone with an infection pm me ...I know someone with anti-biotics...........

and if you goig to see your doc first drain the oil with a syringe then when you tell him you "bumped into a nail in the attic or garage " ( puncture wound ) he won't drain a few ml's of oil.....and all will be well
