Wow, great news dude. I can't imagine having a scare like that.
Can I give you some advice? I'm not into bodybuilding like some of you are. I go to the gym and workout because I think it's fun. But here's the thing....all of what you're working for will go away some day. That's right. It will only last for so long. Sure, you're accomplishments will still remain in your memory and you'll still be able to look back and enjoy the sense of satisfaction from them, but our bodies all break down eventually. That's just the way it is. The influence and the luster of your accomplishments in bodybuilding will diminish and fade with time, until one day, no one will ever remember them after you're gone. I'm not saying anything against bodybuilding. You can insert any hobby or career choice into this equation. My point is, how will this affect your children when you're gone? How will this affect your grandchildren or your great grandchildren? Either positive or negative.
Now, the legacy you leave as a man WILL NEVER GO AWAY. The husband you were to your wife, the father you were to your kids, the friend you were to those you knew well. The influence of that legacy will grow with time. And when you're gone, that legacy will still be affecting your children and their children and their children for generations to come. As a man, you can literally change your world. You can change the worlds of those around you too. That's not meant to be sexist. Even you women have to admit, there's something about a man who is willing to sacrifice everything for his family. Men like that stand head and shoulders above the rest regardless of their physical dimensions. There's nothing in this world that is so powerful and influential as a man who is willing to be a GOOD man no matter what the rest of the world thinks. No matter what else in life may come along that looks better or easier or more satisfying at the time.
Whatever you do, do it will all you got. But realize that there are some things that you MUST be good at or nothing you do or accomplishment means squat. Bodybuilding doesn't define you, my friend. Your legacy as a man does. I'm pulling for you, dude. Best of luck with your comps coming up. Looking forward to hearing how you do.
