  • Letro and high blood pressure

I'm posting a new thread cause not wanting to mess up the gyno reversal thread...
So, in my 4th week of letro, the gyno is feeling better, lump down about 10-20%, not sore anymore. My problem is that my bp was pretty high (160-170 / 90-100) and gotten better on the previous week but yesterday got worse again. My diet is in check, am on ckd, no extra sodium, high water intake, lots of veggies (broccoli, sprouts, cauliflower, celery), vits&mins(calcium, magnesium, pottassium) and baby aspirin before bed.
I'm thinking two reasons: my lipids massed up cause of letro or my circulating estrogen still pretty much high and causing this!?

What do you think? Any suggestions? I can't just go to my doc and say..I'm on gyno reversal with letro, give me something for my high bp :) Should I maybe check my lipids?

    Thank you in advance!

Yes, high cholesterol increases bp, get it checked, hawthorn can be atemporaru fix for bp but you need to establish the underlying cause. Learn to relax and do cardio also, cut out caffiene

Haven't used hawthorne yet, but am doing cardio 4xweek and cut of caffeine 3weeks ago..so there is pretty much nothing else i can do. I'll get my lipids checked out and if it turns out that my cholesterol is out of place, what can I do? Stop letro? :(
I'm on ckd diet but consuming minimal saturated fat so it shouldn't be the reason!?

      Thanx.

You need to eat omega three six grams from midday to evening, this will raise your good cholesterol and help stop plaque build up, and oatmeal in the morning will help reduce bad cholesterol. You also need to learn to relax also, the no caffiene will help over time. Also don't smoke or use stimulants. Get lipids checked then come back to me. Also if you have infection or virus this can raise blood pressure

I take 9 grams of omega3 through the day...morning, midday and evening 3caps wih meal. As for the oatmeal, i eat it before workout as i'm on the keto style diet with carbs around workout. Don't smoke, drink alcohol and not using any stimulants. Only supps aside protein is beta alanine and arginine.

I'll get my lipids checked and report back.

          Thanx man!

Basically if the bad cholesterol is high, use benecol not statins to get it down.

Don't quite understand that one :( In addition, do you think that keto diet with about 60% of cals from fat intake isn't good in this case? Ig fats are "good", then it shouldn't be a problem?!

i dont think it has anything to do with letro itself. think your a bit of a hypochondriac bro, the other day you were asking if letro caused cramps in your calves.

I think I'm a hypochondriac. I'm sure I caught off someone on the train.

Wish it was only that :) No, serious...i'm not saying it's letro for sure, but this two things are happening now. Cramps, which are gettin better (added pottassium) and higher bp. I had problems with bp a few weeks before letro, i was on nolva that time. I'm quite certaint it was due high estrogen but now the bloat is much better, so bp should be getting normal...but it isn't. So basically i would like to get to the bottom of this.
Again, not sure about letro causing this, just wan't some help understanding all of this.

                    Thanx.

nolv and letro are not known to raise bp. its not a side.

No it is not annoying. It is deadly serious. Bro, you need to take care of your BP asap. You are playing with fire here.

I know and I'm already paranoid about it :( here in europe is not that easy to just go to my doc and say...i'm on whatever, give me something for high bp :(
I'll check my lipids within couple of days and go from there. Any other suggestions?

My point is that you need to determine if your BP is being caused by the gear or something else you are taking. If yes, then you need to get off it asap. If no, that is, if the root cause is something else - stress, etc. or even genetic, then you need to take care of that asap. Hypertension control has evolved quite a bit, with ACE inhibitors, etc.

A BP is of 169 or 170 is not an inconvenient side effect. It is seriously harmful to your health.
