What do you think of the kidney disease issue Canadagold? I imagine it depends on what type of disease it is.

Steroids known to cause water retention are orals like anadrol and dbol and injectables like deca and test. Although, water retention from test (and dbol) can be attenuated or eliminated with the use of anti-estrogens like arimidex or letrazole. Be sure to look up ANY drug you plan to use in the PDR to see how it is cleared and if its use is contraindicated in the case of kidney disease.

There are many steroids that do not cause water retention like any of the DHT derivatives (winstrol, masterone) as well as things that do not aromatize to estrogens like trenbolone, primo, anavar and others.

            :agree:

I had the same issue with my g/f. She was very ignorant to the subject of anabolics. Her main concerns were the stereotypical ones heard everywhere. Easily agitated, moodiness, sexual performances and so on. After having many conversations with her, she didnt necessarily agree but became less closed to the idea. After about a month of discussions she eventually told me that it would be my decision and that she would always be there to support me. Well three weeks later, she asked if I had started me cycle ( I had) I then told her I had but was curious about how she could know. I had decided not to tell her right away to see if she could notice any difference in my temperment, sex life and so on. She said that she didnt notice any change but was looking at my ass (was naked in the kitchen - sorry to paint that picture for you guys) and noticed a red 'spot' on one cheek - busted. But after all the conversations we had, and then to see that alot of what she thought was untrue. She was fine with me being on the program. She even started to do the injections for me.

Bottom line is find out exactly what her objections are and give her the information she needs to make an informed opinion. Give her time to, she may not agree to it right away

The guys on this board are the best, they'll have answers for all her questions I'm sure

Under most circumstances, there is little need to discuss steroid usage with your doctor UNLESS, you are already being treated for 1 or more of the known side effects of steroids. If already dignosed with some of these medical conditions, I would think most of us would seriously weigh the pros/cons of AAS use in the 1st place. (Bear in mind that statistically, most people people will not develop any side effects as is the case with most other drugs, prescription or otherwise). Or unless you become symptomatic to a level that would require medical intervention. (Again, not normally the case).
As far as the "roid rage", I have been called quick tempered by some including my wife of 20 years. Others less tactfully inclined would call me an asshole, in which case I would have to thrash them unmercifully. Just kiddin...really. My moods are generally about the same when on cycle as they are when off with possibly a wee bit quicker on the anger trigger, but to no greater of a degree. I do "feel better" overall when on cycle.
Your husband might consider having some basic bloodwork performed to check his manly man hormones. in otherwords, get his testosterone levels checked. If they are in the low normal range, and with an educated doctor, he might find himself with a prescription of testosterone, which by the way is covered by most insurances.
Last but not least, if it is in fact any type of testosterone your husband is considering, then in all fairness to both of you i submit the following statement. It is impossible to discuss testosterone usage without out mentioning the almost guaranteed increase in sex drive. This is the one "side effect" (if that's what you wanna call it) that most of us could not escape.
Good luck to you both and keep us posted.
