same here. I might be mex-american but im educated. I go to school and all, I work hard for my money. I cannot stand little wanna be thugs talking in slang, calling me a (hommie, holmes, chief, carnal, those slang names) or even vato.

Some buddies here dont understand that I wanna suceed in life. The majority of them dont work and do thier money the easy way. I got cousins into the easy money shit but im not into that. I was invited a while ago to hit a club, grab some beers with my cousin and his boys, but nah. I aint going. I rather be with my girl and thats all I need in my life, besides my family, education, and job. Im more into my Bodybuilding goals and staying away from trouble. I was into alot of trouble but that was my past. Always got away with it though.

Like u bro, I got my own people telling why and giving me shit for being educated and not being like them. I m not down with that. Im trying to do something good for the hispanic people and thats my education, something 50% of people here in my city aint doing.

Blacks were supressed for so long it is part of there identity, they are a diffrerent race of people, there thought processes are different to ours(whites), it reminds me of the aborigines in australia, over here they get special treatment from the goverment, the goverment actually pays them if they do not have a job, the abo's feel like the whole country owes them something for taking there land, so to shut there mouths the goverment gave them money and they still complain, you still find them strolling the streets at 4 in the morning bashing each other in the heads with beer bottles

We all see the problems but does anyone have a solution?

I saw a program on tv where this wealthy man decided to donate some serious money every year to develop a program aimed at the kids starting when they're in kindergarten. They pick about 15 kids a year from one school, get mentors for them, after school programs, gets the parents and teachers involved, etc., and stick with the kids, as long as the kids get good grades and stay out of trouble he will pay for their college education. It's a wonderful gesture and these particular kids are being helped but it's not a viable solution for the rest of the kids.

I think we all agree that it's gotta start with the kids at an early age but how does that get done on a large scale?

Make it illeagal to have a child if you cant even support yourself without government help. This applies to any race. I firmly believe that would solve alot of problems. But then the government will take fire for controlling lives.

:agree: I agree 100% there Bro! Just like having a license to drive you should have to have a license to have kids! You should have to meet certain requirements to bring a child into this world....
1- Have a job
2- Be a certain age
3- No drug habbits......etc.

Granted the people will look at it as though the government it trying to control peoples lives, but its gotta start somewhere!

In a prefect world, this would be a GREAT idea. Unfortunately, the government can't control free will. What your idea CAN affect is welfare and food stamps...something you and I all pay for. Clinton's welfare reform was start, but there really needs to be more control on government assistance. PROVE that you are looking for a job, PROVE that you aren't on drugs, and most importantly- PROVE that any money you are getting isn't going to a new system for your ride or a new 5lb charm for your necklace.

:agree: I have to agree on the jewelry comment, but disagree about controling free will! I feel that if the government is giving them money while they are not working they shouldn't have any say so! After the government provides the funds for the first kid they should be allowed to regularly check up on you to make sure you are working or trying to get a job, drug test and if another kid comes, put you on birth control! That may sound harsh or whatever to some of you out there but I see to many people around Tallahassee that have half a dozen kids and are pregnant with another in the grocery store and paying with food stamps!

Good question but it has to start somewhere! If we can keep the people that don't give a fuck about supporting their own kids from having anymore then I would say we have at least made an attempt at slowing the situation down!

These people that have half a dozen kids and are on food stamps are buying things such as steak, lobster, crab legs...etc...for themselves while the kids are eating ravioli out of the can! People abuse this help! The more kids, the more assistance they are given! It just isn't right! I always want to go up to these people and tell them to get a fucking job! I worked two jobs while my babies mother was pregnant and out of work to help support her! She never once applied for government assistance and if she had I would have been pissed! Now that she is back to work I still give her a 100 buck a week to get whatever she or the baby needs!
