PLEASE ENIGHTEN US ON ALL OF THE FUCK UPS...UNEMPLOYMENT WAS AT AN ALL TIME LOW, WELFARE REFORM, 5 TRILLION DOLLARS IN SURPLUS, NO DEFICIT...YEP, THOSE SOUND LIKE MAJOP FUCK UPS TO ME Even if Kerry was elected president after Clinton not even he could straigthen out all of Clinton's fuck ups. This country was in recetion right before Bush was elected and then 9/11 happened and that just made it worse. [ACTUALLY, HAD YOU WATCHED THE DEBATES, BUSH AND CHENEY BOTH SAID THIS COUNTRY SUFFERED A RECESSION AFTER 9/11. THERE WAS NO RECESSION PRIOR. 1.7 MILLION JOBS LOST AFTER 9/11.... STOCK MARKET NOSE DIVE... Also everyone complains about unemployment being its worst ever. But right now its the same it was when clinton was in office, no different. But i'm sure Kerry will promise some plan of action on unemployment but who knows what it is? lol I'm sure he can tell you he's got a plan though. ;)

Maybe if the Bush Admin wasn't so hell bent on OUTSOURCING jobs, we could create more jobs here at home. That's one thing the Kerry campaign has said they will prohibit....and that's just ONE part of the plan.

We are in the mess we are in now because of 9/11. Of course it isn't better than it was 5 years ago. 5 years ago we didn't get the world trade centers blown away. Because of that, jobs were lost, the economy went to shit. Why do you think they targeted the WTC? They wanted to hurt our economy and they did.

Its not Clinton's fault, it isn't Bush's fault. Had the attacks been durning Clinton's campaign the economy would have went down just the same. Now, going to war has increased our national debt as well, which sucks, but also pumping all that money into security, airport security, border security, etc.... due to the terrorist attacks is necessary. Sure it could be put into health care or whatever else you guys complain about, but it needed to go to security due to 9/11, but I don't view the economy and national debt as one in the same. Anyone who blames our current economic situation on anything other than 9/11 and fear of more terrorist attacks is not thinking throughly.

I can agree with your points, all but one.( big surprise!)

True, there is more money being used for security purposes. However, Bush didn't want the Homeland Security program initially. Even after he approved it, he cut portions of the funding to it.

The problem is, we wouldn't be in the huge mess we are in, had Bush not invaded Iraq. They didn't attack us. So actually, Iraq does have something to do with our stagnant economy and debt.
The deficit is partly due to the funding needed for a war that the American people were misled. Rumsfeld himself along with the CIA report have proven there were no WMD threats, and Iraq had no connection w/ Al-Queda.

The recession can be attributed fully to 9/11. However, the enormous deficit cannot.

I support FULL funding for Homeland Security. I support funding for proper equipment to the troops. I support funding for hunting and finding Bin Laden.

I do not support umpteen billions of dollars to fight a war that is now proven to be NOT an eminent threat, when our effots and money could have been focused on finding Bin Laden along with the other terrorist cells throughout the world...

You all heard my views on border and port security, power plants, chemical plants, and drinking water supplies security, as well as funding for first responders. That money from Iraq could have tightened our national security concerns considerably. There were no WMD and regardless of the administration's arguements, we didn't need to remove Saddam at that point in time. Focus on the true threat- Islamic fundamentalist terrorists- was lost. Al Qaeda was put on the back burner and has endangered our safety here at home.

            EXACTLY. WE WERE LIED TO.

Now, we have created this huge mess and can't leave until we fix it, so it's only going to keep sucking more money the longer it takes. Bush and Cheney say more of the same. If we continue with more of the same this country will go fucking broke!

            SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE

Neither do I. Do you guys think it is possible that they did find WMD in Iraq, but they aren't telling us because they don't want to start a panic?

I know a lot of the conspirist type democrats on this board seem to think that the govt. hides everything from us.

Well you can bet your ass if we didn't go in for Saddam when we did he'd be pointing missiles our way in about 5 yrs. And if you believe he never had nuqulear warheads your crazy. We just never found any. I think Korea is next to bomb. They have Nuq's and they admited it. They're not suppose to have them. They broke the rules so they must pay.

Operative word in the first sentence HAD nukes.. Sure, he may have had them prior to 1991, but I don't see any proof of production thereafter, which is why we didn't find any this time obviously.

Funny you mention N. Korea. Them and Iran have BOTH increased there nuclear capabilities by 35% SINCE Bush took office. the Bush camp has turned a blind eye about it. Kim Xiong Jong came to the US to discuss the lessening sanctions, and what did Bush do? Informed Kim he was INCREASING sanction on N. Korea. So what did Kim Jong do? Kim Xiong Jong went home bewildered and emabarassed. Increase his nuclear power. Great strategy there. That's a great way to make allies and increase gloabal security.

i think that would have been a possibility, he would have had weapons pointed at us. If it was not him in power, maybe his sons. One was a lunatic. I think everything happends for a reason. At least i feel safer that Saddams not in power anymore. U never know, u dont wanna make the mistake of ignoring him when hes actually gaining power. More like a zero tolerance rule, dont take shit from no one.

IMO, i know im not no one but i sure think he had weapons and their somewhere hidden.

Aso for Iran and Korea, fuck them. Something has to be done but in a smart way. Dont wanna make the same mistake with them as to Iraq. First with talks and talks if that dont work, well by force. It just sucks when everyone wants to have those weapons of mass destruction. Imagine them being easy to access and the whole world wants them. Countrys are gonna be using them on everyone for not liking them. Or even those damn pieces of shit terrorists.

All want to control the damn world, be a dominant power.:(

seriously though, if they had weapons... and they know we're comin.. do you not think they're smart enough to hide those things as far away from themselves as they possibly can - bet on it!!

Well I believe since we bombed Iraq we should've just left. Do you actually think they can be civilized over there, hell no. And us helping after the bombing is a just a waste. Let them work on their own gov't. Besides they'll all just keep killing themselves daily. No need in us getting involved. But I am glad we bombed them just didn't need to stay and clean up, fuck that. Also we need to bomb Iran and N. Korea and fuck helping them clean up afterwards. Saddam's people were crazy, N. Korea's people are determined people. I'm not sure which is worse when facing in battle, crazy or determined. But if we ever went to war with N.Korea it won't be as easy as Iraq was. Them having more nukes is not good... We can only fight one battle at a time. I doubt Bush is wanting to put the nation into battle even though he knows we should N.Korea. But if we goto war with N.Korea people will be bitching again just because N.Korea didn't have the nukes pointed at us with the finger on the button to launch. But they still broke the rules so thats enough for me to say lets go send a shit load of bombs over there and wipe them out. No real ned to send any troops over there. We can just bomb the fuck out of them then come back.
