Terroism is stopped by getting out of peoples lives around the world and if they mess with us, we fuck them up. but we don't have a war on terroism. no one has ever said the truth that this "War" is as productive as the "War" on drugs. and we all know how well that went. The FAA seems to think it is god now, I think they need a swift kick in the nuts.
If anything, the Gov is under-reacting. Just because something doesn't work all the time doesn't mean you just quit. If I were in charge, I'd strip-search everybody, including body cavity searches. Screw the ACLU. If you want on a plane it would be my way or the highway. BB

Well now I cant agree with that either. Do you realize what that would do to the economy if you were to do that? Do you realize how long that would take and how much it would delay everything? Im all for technology that can scan the body for a search but what your talking about is just crazy. I take it you dont fly much.

Seriously, though...I've been patted down by female security going out to clubs in Toronto...doesn't bother me one damn bit. Nice to know that nobody in there is going to have a gun or a knife. Just as it's nice to know that nobody has smuggled a weapon or explosives onto a plane. I don't mind submitting to searches at all...I like that they are doing their jobs thoroughly. If that woman can't handle it, then she better go Greyhound next time.

I am going to agree and disagree a bit. It sounded as if they were going to search her breasts right there where everyone could see. This is TOTALLY uncalled for. I think if they would have taken her to a private room and explained to her what they wanted to do, it would have been a little more reasonable.

Sana is right though, we would not appreciate a man grabbing our dicks right where everyone can see and practically molest us.

Who cares if it's out in the open? The officer was just going to pat them down, not bust her titties out in the open for everyone to see. Women get pap smears and mammograms by men and don't complain. So how when another woman needs to do a quick pat down she's all of a sudden got issues?

what if they start putting bombs internally? what then? are you going to submit to an autopsy before you board the plane? the point is being missed here so I won't belabor the point but terroism is not gotten rid of with security it is gotten rid of with enlightenment. which has all but dissapeared from the world. Everyone reacts with concrete ideas. Hmmm, they have bombs well then we will stop the bombs. uh oh they changed to schools lets gate the schools up, uh oh they started blowing up bridges lets close them down, uh oh they started poisoning the water lets lock that up. you guys are giving them exactly what THEY want whether you know it or not.

I don't agree with that. I had to fly about six different times from 2002 - 2003. They always selected me because I paid cash, I was flying overseas, and I purchased the ticket the day of the flight. It was always a major hassle, but I guess they picked those things as behavior of a likely suspect.

I do agree that they still have their heads up their asses. They used to do that stuff to me even though I had military duty papers.

If you want to fly, this is part of what you're going to have to deal with. If you can't deal with it, don't fly.

Who gives a shit if you're getting patted down? It's someone touching you, not in a sexual or aggressive way, it's a touch. Geez!

The woman pulled down her top so they could see but she wouldn't let them touch her over her clothes? Sounds like a drama queen to me. Next she'll be suing for some big bucks.

It's very easy to hide stuff in a woman's bra, especially if she's got big boobs. I got wanded a few times because the metal in the underwire in my bra set off the alarm. Now I just fly braless. LOL

I have always been amused of the tough guy security gaurd that likes to make comments about how you aren't doing something fast enough or something right because he somehow feels he needs to show you his authority. I think he feels intimidated by someone bigger than him. What a pussy.

I bet that makes you a sure target for a pat down. :D

Of course it was crazy, but not as crazy as just letting everything be half done. If searches are going to be made, let them be made properly, whatever it takes. I'll bet that everyone on this board who flys, at sometime during their flight, wonders if some lunatic is sitting somewhere on board ready to detonate something or do something else that'll get everybody wasted. I do, and will probably always will. This problem will never be solved totally and that's a damn shame. If some idiot is bound and determined to make a plane crash, one way or another, regardless of security, they will. The American economic system won't go in the crapper if the aviation system goes down. Oil prices effect the ecomony 100 times more than a failing airline(s). BB

Well one solution has been proposed - all passengers fly nude and all their baggage and clothes and personal items go on a special baggage-only plane. :D

That would be good if everyone looked hot, but after being at the beach lately, I'd rather not see the rest of the Tampa passengers flying nude.

Ever see those Hooter's flights? The flight attentendants are topless! :D
