Ever see those Hooter's flights? The flight attentendants are topless! :D
Originally posted by bonebreaker Of course it was crazy, but not as crazy as just letting everything be half done. If searches are going to be made, let them be made properly, whatever it takes. I'll bet that everyone on this board who flys, at sometime during their flight, wonders if some lunatic is sitting somewhere on board ready to detonate something or do something else that'll get everybody wasted. I do, and will probably always will. This problem will never be solved totally and that's a damn shame. If some idiot is bound and determined to make a plane crash, one way or another, regardless of security, they will. The American economic system won't go in the crapper if the aviation system goes down. Oil prices effect the ecomony 100 times more than a failing airline(s). BB
If nobody was able to fly and get to where they need to go it would very much hurt the economy.
Originally posted by Wolfhound I don't agree with that. I had to fly about six different times from 2002 - 2003. They always selected me because I paid cash, I was flying overseas, and I purchased the ticket the day of the flight. It was always a major hassle, but I guess they picked those things as behavior of a likely suspect.
I do agree that they still have their heads up their asses. They used to do that stuff to me even though I had military duty papers.
right after 9/11, i was travelling every week. i flew on sundays and on fridays. i did this for until about the september 2002. that's one full year. then after that, i have flown at least once every 3 months.
trust me - security is lax.
it was lax even right after 9/11. it is still lax now and it still sucks.
ask any business traveller or frequent vacation traveller and they will tell you how bad it is.
Originally posted by beefcake Women get pap smears and mammograms by men and don't complain. So how when another woman needs to do a quick pat down she's all of a sudden got issues?
that is the DUMBEST comparison i've ever seen in my life.
you're comparing a pap smear in the confidence and privacy of a doctor's office to someone saying they're going to touch your breasts in front of a line of other waiting passengers.
seriously - what's next? body cavity searches?
i will repeat, i would not have allowed them to touch my breast.
i would call the ACLU right after and file a complaint.
it is definitely an encroachment of my civil liberties. period.
