RS, I respect and agree with some of the things you have to say but I think the way your going about it is all wrong. You sound like you are yelling at anyone that did not vote for kerry. You are comming across as mad and that is not the way to get your point across.

With all that said, I wish kerry was our next president, if not for anything else I believe the way the world views the US would be much better with kerry in office. I also agree with alot of the Bush supporters also though as I actually like Bush.

There hasn't been any terrorism in the US since 911, the terrorists have to resorted to hiding in caves and sending video tapes to scare us. I truly believe that terrorism can and will end.

I hate political threads because none of us really know what the hell we are talking about, we base or info on news reports we watch and on fiction movies like farenheit 911. LMAO.

Like I said I voted for Kerry, I am for a better economy, lower oil prices, better healthcare, and stem cell research, but in a way I felt selfish for voting for Kerry, felt like I wanted the economy to go up for my own benefits, the real issue is putting a stop to terrorism, Osama didn't want Bush to win, I wonder why?

Also like I've always said my vote wouldn't mean jack shit because I live in Texas, bush won Texas by millions of votes, and like i've always said regardless who wins the presidency, I will support him/her, I will not be a sore loser and come crying to everyone on an internet message board.

RS, cheer up. Being this pessimistic is bad for your health, it makes your body acidic. Smile, and roll with the punches, because your life or my life isn't going to change that much regardless who the president is. :)

I am mad. I am so mad and angry that I am actually considering life in Canada. I'm not bashing Bush supporters. But it is so frustrating as an educated voter to understand how 60% elect a leader based on his moral values. Not on his foreign policy, not his economic plan, just solely based on his strong faith and moral values....and yet, disagree w/ the war in Iraq?

I am not meaning to come off as yelling at any one particular person. I just am simply stating what is extremely possible in the coming years. I am enraged that there is a chance Roe v. Wade may be overturned....it sure is pointing that direction. Partial birth or not. What if in 2 years, it's overturned, and I am pregnant. Let's say I'm in my 7th month of pregnancy and I start to have major complications, and it comes down to saving my life or the baby's. Well, since we can't do partial birth abortions I guess I will have to die.

GT- I work for plenty more than $8/hr.

You're no idiot to outsource....especially since your company would receive special tax breaks if you do outsource, which BUsh initiated. Where's the incentive to keep jobs here?

As for the Patriot Act, it DOES jeopardize our freedoms as a free society. Just because my name may be similar to a suspected terrorist or whatever, that gives Big Brother the right to look into my bank acounts, tap my phones, and search my home w/o a warrant?

It's in the constitution. "Ureasonable search and seizure" Now the specific language and verbiage of the Constitution is being challenged by the Patriot Act. The Act does have some positive points, but the above scenario I just mentioned does make it that much easier for the government to look into our lives. And I know it had to pass in order to become law, but when there are no checks
and balances (Many more Republicans than Democrats)in the House or Senate any more, as a voter I do not feel my government is not looking out for my best interest; nor do I feel my interests are taken into consideration.

True, the taxes are relative to what you make. However, the rich are who saw the most relief. We have too many "working poor" in this country who need it way more than I do or the rich. It's not that I personally want a break, but why the breaks on people who make up 2% of our society? Yes they do make more, so they will see the most relief....but if you made over $200k a year, do you really need tax relief?
