THis class warfare thing is crap. Anyone that has taken Econ 101 in college or high school would know that you stimulate the economy by creating jobs. How do we do that? Trickle down economics....Reagan did it and Kennedy did it. Sure it would be a perfect world to take from the rich and give to the poor; however, we can give more money to the poor so they can spend it on goods for themselves, their children, etc... but how does that help them or the economy. Having more money in your hands does not equate jobs. We need long term stimulus.

How you may ask? Well give tax breaks to those that are the job makers. Corporations- those who make more than 200k a year. These people aren't going to put the money in the bank and save it. They're going to spend it on capital, tangible goods. Both human and equipment. Thus creating more jobs in the economy. = long term solution

Osama wanted Kerry to win....that says it all for me. The only issue John Kerry impressed me with were his pledge to close tax loopholes for corporations and to reward companies that don't outsource.

As an Democrat who voted for Kerry, I am disappointed at the outcome.

As an American, I am hopeful that Bush will take this opportunity to really pursue an inclusive bipartisan agenda, something he promised but didn't really deliver in his first term. He is my President and I hope that he will make America a better place in his 4 years in the White House.

As a pragmatic minority citizen in various senses (non-white, non-Christian), I would be lying if I said I am not worried about various things - the rise of overt or covert mixing of religion and state and about erosion of civil rights.

I especially am worried about how a Republican White House, combined with a Republican senate/house will affect an equisitely well balanced Supreme Court. With 3 conservative justices, 3 liberal ones and 3 moderates, and at least 3 justices who are in their 80s or in bad health, I think it is almost certain that the court will lean towards the right during this term. Another Scalia or Thomas could really alter the legal landscape in the country.

I completely agree. The last time we had a terrorist scare must have been when that paranoid woman in Florida said she heard those 3 or 4 men talk about bombing some place I can't remember.

Like I said I voted for Kerry, I am for a better economy, lower oil prices, better healthcare, and stem cell research, but in a way I felt selfish for voting for Kerry, felt like I wanted the economy to go up for my own benefits, the real issue is putting a stop to terrorism, Osama didn't want Bush to win, I wonder why?

I also voted for Kerry. I voted for about the same reasons that you did and plus the transportation unions said that Kerry was the best choice. How did I know that the unions said this? My father told me since he's in the transportation. And I figured if I voted for him, I'd benefit my father and my mother who is also in the transportation industry. It's very true that the most important issue for this nation is that we must put a stop to terrorism. And I'm in full support of that, in fact a few months ago, I was thinking about joining the USAF as a medic and get sent to Iraq or Afghanistan and support this war on terrorism.

Also like I've always said my vote wouldn't mean jack shit because I live in Texas, bush won Texas by millions of votes, and like i've always said regardless who wins the presidency, I will support him/her, I will not be a sore loser and come crying to everyone on an internet message board.

I'm also in your shoes also. My vote doesn't mean crap because I live here also. Bush has clearly the whole state on his side. I don't mind another 4 years of Bush, I will still support his/her decisions unless it's something really drastic that affects my parents and the industry they work for.

i don't believe in most of the propoganda out there... trickle down economics historically hasn't done shit, kerry honestly wasn't that strong of a candidate in the first place, etc... but i think what bugs me the most is that we have someone who dodged the draft, received the highest and greatest of preferential treatment from colleges and universities to aid in his political campaings due to his connections, and he's now TWICE beaten out two people who sacrificed much and were hurt while serving their country honorably (mccain and kerry) i respect the hell out of mccain, and you can argue however much you want whether kerry deserved his purple hearts, but they both have done more to earn my respect than bush ever has.

Any respect Kerry may have earned during his mini-tour in Vietnam was quickly eroded by the 20+ years of total horseshit he did when he got back stateside.

And as for the gay marriage issue, President Bush did nothing but propose an amendment. He can't pass any law on his own. The issue went before the people of America and they voted unanimously to oppose same sex unions. So blame the people, your neighbors, coworkers etc......not the President.

I think alot of liberals got a big wake up call. America is still largely conservative and moral values matter. President Bush received more of the popular vote than any other President in history. The house and senate are now a Republican majority. The American people voted and said loud and clear that they did NOT want the second most liberal senator on the floor as their next President.

I think it's good to have liberal presidents get in as well. They bring about change and advancements in technology. You will never see a very liberal president get in anyway. Most democratic candidates have to be on the conservative side because most people in this country are very backwards thinking and would never elect someone thats wants to bring about alot of change, even when its good change. I think we need a balance of liberal and conservative for our nation as a whole to keep moving in a positive direction while keeping morals in check. The way I see it with all these rebublicans running everything, we will only move backwards when it comes to medical technology and human rights because GOD will always have the last say. :rolleyes:

I don't think it is an issue of hate, rather right or wrong, IMO! Most people believe same sex marriages are wrong and immoral, after all...God did create Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!

That's the problem. People are using God as the reason to butt into other people's lives that has nothing to do with theirs and I don't beleive in all that bologna in the bible anyway. It's only going to continue to create a bigger rift between people. People just need to mind their own business and live their own lives happily and peacefully and let other's do the same with theirs.

:agree: I do agree with the live and let live idea, but as a guy that was raised to believe that a man and a woman make a marraige, as were millions of others, we make the majority! When homosexuals make up the majority they will be able to make change! When I see a gay couple, and they are men or two ugly ass women and they are making out, I am willing to turn my head and look the other way! A lot of people are not willing to look the other way and they don't want that behavior displayed in front of their children! For the government to say it is okay for a gay couple to get married would be saying they approve of their behavior...and I don't see that happening!

As for people using God to butt into other peoples lives...I would say some do but not all! Most hetero-men just don't want to see two guys kissing and most hetero-women don't want to see to women kissing! It is just the way people were raise! IMHO!
