Being far away from the place you are used to is a terrible thing. I had to overcome not only a new place, new people, but a new language and new customs as well. Maybe you should try to find a place, or a small something that reminds you about your home-state. Maybe spending some time there would help. When I get homesick, I try to remember that I am here for a better future, I find Shibby and cry on his shoulder. Then, all of a sudden, it is all better. But of course, I am not going to share him :D

Just try to enjoy the difference. Like a regular pie vs. sicilian...very different but both are good. Things in NC are slower but that gives you more time to spend on other things...like your partner, reading, cooking up new recipes, a new hobby, heck...I bet they even have bowling alleys in NC, or find a club to take Sana out to on the weekends to shake her bootay. Go for walks and enjoy the neighborhood with your girl (beat up anyone that looks at her too long). :)

Your right there bro....I went up to Jersey once to visit friends...I think the town was called Bootin...To much traffic,to many people.It was a nice place,nice people,just to big a change for me.Give Carolina a chance,you will like it after a while.My grandfather is from Detroit and still misses it after 50yrs in the south..You will never forget where your from,hell he hasnt lost the acsent yet.LOL.......btw with the athletes I meant Football and basketball,but that can be debated.... Were glad to have ya in Hill billy heaven...
