Dude you are wierd, my family is from New Orleans and there are just as many good people and idiots as any big city.

And last time I looked God did not name hurricanes people did. They name storms as a reference instead of calling it "A Big Storm Is Coming".

    Get a grip.

For someone that speaks of religion and the Bible and God....why do you use the name "Ron Mexico"? An alias smeared in the news and supposedly used by Michael Vick in a lawsuit for spreading STD's? Couldn't you come up with something a little more......"Godly"....or clean. I believe in God and religion but I'll be damned if I'll sit here and read the crap spewing from you. You probably watch or listen to Pat Robertson, don't you? He tries to preach the same way you do. Saying one thing while doing another. Give, give, give me your money. I will take care of the sick and homeless and needy.....then he turns around and donates most of the money to company that airs his BS show. In other words Ron....go push your snake oil somewhere else!

Good luck all, i'll stop now don't want to turn this into a big debate. I thought the Katrina reference was interesting and wanted to share it.

I figured Mr. Shibby, someone who just witnessed the miracle of life wouldn't be so hateful. Strange.

Also keep in mind, I consider myself as one who also needs to be warned and clean up my act, because I too am a sinner. I am no better than anyone else, but am working on it.
I'm curious as to why you are a member of this board if you are so religious. Why wouldn't you join a board for the types of people you are so against and preach to them? Most of us don't want to hear what you have to say about this crap.

I've read everyones statements in this thread and yes some statements are just flat out rude and ignorant, but there some valid points here from several parties. I think religion is very touchy subject with everyone b/c it isn't something that a fact or false; it is left up to belief. Belief is asking a lot of a human being these days b/c of how skeptic we are of each other. I think for the most part most of us belive that there is a higher being, but question what is told to us.

I myself believe in god, but I'm not as religious as some. I always said that it's hard for me to put some much faith on what another person is telling me. It would be like Bouncer starting this board and saying that he had actual readings and I just believed it.

Although this is a general chat section, I think it is too sensitive of a subject to have a debate about. Lets talk bodybuilding.

I think if God was taking out states with natural disasters he would have worked harder on California by now.

I sense an undertone of fear tactics here, why are you trying to frighten everyone, is it because someone frightened you and this is the only way you can make sense of it?

We all love our families though there is often no apparent logic for it, its an intangible(spell) bond. But when it comes to weather there is usually a logic to it; movement of earth plates, changing temperatures and resultant air movements etc etc, there are plently of logical explanations for katrina and other weather occurences, do you not agree Ron?

After reading through this thread, it is easy to understand why religion has started so many wars in this world.

Well as George Bernard Shaw once said, "I'm an atheist and I thank God for it."

My question is which Jesus was it that they used as their god-man since Jesus is the Greek of Jesua which is Joshua in English and was and is a common name?

Jesus Christ, the son of God, conceived by the Virgin Mary.

blah blah blah and you refuse to respond to alot of the replys in this thread. you sound like Billy Mase on those commercials talking about his Oxy Clean. He keeps spewing all this crap about why you should buy his product but he never really goes into any detail. You dont know what you believe. You make blank statements and then you cant go into detail about it. Stop being a sheep and make up your own mind.
