The 10mm is actually very close to the .40 in statistics, but it slightly longer.Originally posted by spideyI have owned a S&W .357 magnum and I'm also familiar with the .357 Sig so I don't need pictures to tell the difference, LOL.
Maybe you're right. The magnum is a long shell. Isn't the 10 mm round a long round too? Glocks don't have a problem cycling those.

I could be mistaken, Maybe it was another automatic; Desert Eagle maybe. I have seen DE's in 44 mag., .50, and .357 mag.
Fuck it, I give up. Whatever you saw it wasn't a Glock, not in 357 Magnum. I guarantee it. No maybe, no could be, no perhaps.

Sorry it's been a long damn day. It's just bugged me, I've been shooting Glocks for over twelve years, I own four at the moment and have been a GSSF member and competitive shooter for quite a while now.
It's like someone coming on here and saying you don't need PCT, everyone saying that's wrong and they just come back with "no I'm pretty sure I'm right..."
Fuck it, I'm just a tired grouchy asshole tonite.

No, Glock DOES make a .357 mag. :D Just messin with ya. You are right though, Glock doesn't make a .357 mag, only the Sig.
"The recent introduction of the .357 caliber GLOCKS created a whole series of GLOCK pistols that offer ammunition performance rivaling or exceeding the legendary .357 Magnum ."

I have a Glock and I know several people that do. I am happy with mine and so are they. IMO you can't beat them. Mine is a Glock 17 (9mm). Glock's are very simple and easy to operate. One thing that you mentioned was something your fiance could use. I would not get anything stronger than a 9mm or it will knock her down when she shoots it, if she is able to hang on to it. I know some women that carry .380's and can shoot them with no problem. My mom has a .380, but she is scared to death of a 9mm. just depends on how feminine your fiance is.

S & W makes a .357 Sigma. The Sigma is an exact copy of the glock. That may be what he saw.

I am Canadian, so all this guns on the night stand shit sounds unnessesary. If you need shit for home invasions, move! I sound like a 50 year old women here, but I heard a study on home invasion shootings (I am sure most people know this) and most people get shot with their own guns... get a tazer, that way you don't die. Just my two sense.

That is a common study bandied about by the anti-gun crowd. Problem is that it was a deeply flawed study and has since been debunked.Originally posted by snowshark84I am Canadian, so all this guns on the night stand shit sounds unnessesary. Think about it for a minute. How are you going to shoot yourself (accidently) if you take any care at all? It's pretty simple really: you point the end at the home invader before pulling the trigger, LOL.
I have had guns in the house as long as I can remember. So have all my friends and various relatives. NO ONE has ever shot themselves yet. Some have had to use a gun to defend themselves though.
My sister woke up in the middle of the night with someone trying to get in her house. She was alone with two small daughters....and a 20 ga.
All she had to do was announce through the door that she had a shotgun loaded with buckshot and whoever it was trying to break in suddenly decided he didn't want in so bad after all (imagine that). She never even had to fire.

I believe this study pretty much refers to the amateurs who don't know how to handle a gun and get it taken away and shot with it. Doesn't pertain to us here.Originally posted by snowshark84I am Canadian, so all this guns on the night stand shit sounds unnessesary. If you need shit for home invasions, move! What about in 5 years when he will be able to get to it?
