I could forsure do it. I was a expert with a rifle and the pistol. I could put a round in your head from 500 yards away. That is with just iron sights. I might be able to do it with a pistol from 40 yards away. These guys used high powered rifles with scopes that they have set the sights perfectly on. I bet any money the guys that took these shots are laughing at how everyone is making it out to be such a difficult shot. The funny thing is that these pirates let the navy hook a line to their boat. They were sitting ducks.

Well, Im willing to bet 80% of basically trained Marines could have done the job. Dont get me wrong it is impressive but people hear Navy SEALS and they think its something its not.

Like on tanks they can stay locked on a target while the tank is driving over rough terrain. And as far as getting three shots off about the same time isnt a big deal. Dont get me wrong Im glad they got that guy back safe and sound but people are making this out to be something its not.

It was 75+ yards, at night, from moving vessel to moving vessel.

The stabilized platform you are talking about also does not change the fact the target is still in motion. They used night vision scopes not computer guided tracking systems.

Well I heard it was around 80FT and when one vessel is towing another vessel right behind it and Im sure they were either not moving or moving at a very slow rate so there isnt much motion. And night vision might even be easier to use then during the day there are no glares or anything. And if it was at night you can use a laser that can only be picked up by your NVGs so that would make it even easier. So again I dont think it was that tough.

We'll just agree to disagree then.

Im not discounting what they did at all, trust me. But I know it was just a routine mission. I mean you have your target tied to your ship. Its dark so the targets have no clue that 3 navy seals are sighting in on them and it was a very short distance.

what your forgetting frank is the pressure they were under. you may be able to make the shot but you gotta think about the mental aspect. these seals knew a mans life was on the line if they missed, they knew the world was watching.

I dont think I was arguing with anyone. I was just stating facts from experience. And like I said many time yes they did a good job and I applaud them too.

you are kind of a douche bag aren't you. just admit to the fact that you are envious of the seals. your attempt to prove that you are just as good as them has failed. aim the sights at yourself and pull the trigger playboy..

Hahahhahahahhahaha. It's like somethng out of a mirror universe where bouncer is as much a bitch as some other people here. I really hope this was as sarcastic intending as how I read it, because if it wasn't you need to take a step away from the computer and think about how you worded this. Hahhahahaha

I don't know if frank has ever been in military combat, but I would assume if he has, as a soldier he know the pressure of trying to keep someone alive. But frank the marines have never, and will never, be as recognized as seals or even possibly rangers because they are the under dogs of the us military.

learn how to quote first before you come at me. and dont come in and talk about something like you have been there. you and the word "marine" should not be in the same sentence.

i was referring to the pressure of the worlds eye and the circumstances of which these seals were under. i understand war and killing someone is pressure in and of itself.

you calling people bitch? come on dude, you are the definition.

in a stewie voice from family guy "hows that joining the marines thing going... you ummm taking your time on that one.... you need to think it over a little more do you... you waiting for a better time.... maybe when the war is over....."

                                LOL.
