These issues occasionally crop up in my family. Most of your probably know this, but my family is from India. I have a few cousins that have white spouses. So here's my advice for you.

First of all, what she is doing is precisely where we should be going as a society, i.e. allow our relationships, both professional and personal, to be based on the strength of character rather than the color of the skin. She probably likes the guy, enjoys his company and finds the color of his skin an irrelevant detail. As long as he appears to be a standup guy, why should you discourage her? I see no reason....

Secondly, she is 16!!!! It is true that interracial relationships are harder due to the stupidity of society, but it is not like she is going to marry the guy tomorrow. As long as she is focused on school, etc., she is going to have a few more boyfriends before she finally settles down - that's what you as a brother should be making sure she does.... getting a degree, perhaps considering graduate school, etc. Perhaps she will stay with this guy long term or perhaps she will move on, but freaking out about her boyfriend at the age of 16 is pointless IMHO.

Just focus on making sure she has a smart head on her, goes to school, does not get pregnant at 18, etc., and she will make the right decision down the road.

Our house does have guns in it, but as many have mentioned; in this instance I would opt for the knife. Cut the fuckers dick off. On a serious note, since you don't know me, we are a rather strong Christian family. She rather idolizes her brother, doubt she would do that anytime soon.

Well that's all you can do. You can work with her more about teaching her the real side to life outside of high school (we all can look back now and see it was kind of a bubble). Other than that, she won't listen until she is ready or something happens.

Chris, she's 16. Trust me she doesn't and can't understand yet. I have 2 daughters, 17 and 22 so I'm not just speculating here.. Break out the whetstone and commence sharpening the blade.

I'm sorry bro but you over reacting to this. Here's it real simple, by age 16 how many kids did you know who were virgins? Teenagers have sex, be it some1 you know or your own sister. It's a tough pill to swallow if it's family but use the same judgement that you would use on yourself. You telling me you never sweated up the sheets in highschool? I got run in on twice by my girls parents and let me tell you that shit was not pretty and I do get why they are pissed. But, now looking back on it, we were practicing safe sex, call it a highschool crush but I liked the girl, never cheated on her never mistreated her etc... this is life bro, everyone fucks, I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy it. The sooner harm reduction becomes the main theme for your sister the better.

Its actually bad sometimes because she has my same mentality towards thing. Anyway, I'm not like one of those parents that say, "My child isn't have sex."
