Question about single mother term

i used to go see me dad every other weekend. my mom was still a single mom. it was just me and my mom in the house. thats a single mom asshole. lol

Single parents = One has majority custody but they share time as much as possible.

a single mom is what i described above. father involved or not, if he doesn't live in the house where the kids mainly live its a single mom.

same goes for a single dad.

I think it really started when I met my wife. A song used a phrase and she asked me what that means. I knew how to use it but not really how to explain it. It sparked something in me that notices that kind of stuff now. :)

A single mother just means she is single to me....doesn't imply anything about the father or how far away he is or what his relationship is. just like if the father was "Single" but only saw his kids every other weekend he would still be a single father.

See, what you're saying is opposite what B and I are saying. That means my ex can say he's a single dad, even though he really never has the kids. :dunno:

Both parents should have joint custody with one parent being the resident one...I would never give up full custody, fuck that...What makes a woman a better parent than the dad? To me, if both parents are goo(financially and stable)....then both should get joint custody and work visitation out...
