Or even better, I think I have an analogy to visualize Bouncers point. Imagine the 1992 Olympics original Dream Team being Zane and the fields he won in as the rest of the Olympic teams.

yea, like i said, he was the best of the worst. lol.
he just happen to come along at the perfect time for him. any earlier and he would have been crushed by the first golden era bodybuilders from the early 70's, any later he would have been crushed by the mass monsters that started to come along in the mid to late 80's.

Seriously though, I don't know much about the sport and just by looking at all the evidence it's obvious Bouncer knows what he's talking about.
Deca, maybe if you post pics of the Mr. O's that Zane won with the pics of the competitors that day, those names would mean more in this debate. Kind of like trying rank the top 10 teams ever of a sport. The patriots of the early 2000's would crush any of the past dynasties if you put them side by side. Times change and if politics are involved then stats are virtually thrown out the window.
If you don't know the names I listed you really don't know anything about bodybuilding.
Those are all legends of the sport and Zane beat them winning three consecutive Mr.O titles.
Pure fact.

and once again you ignore the fact that when zane beat those guys they were at the end of their career or at the very beginning.Originally posted by decadecadeca View PostIf you don't know the names I listed you really don't know anything about bodybuilding.

his winning was a matter of good timing for him.

Sorry deca I have to agree with bouncer and Mr I here. If you put Flex Wheleer, Shawn Ray and Kevin Levrone and and the Zane together on a stage at their best Zane wouldn't stand a chance. Yes the seventies was great because it was start of the bodybuilding but imo nineties was the best of bodybuilding.

Probably but things have moved on a ways since the ancient greeks, physiques have improved lots and nowdays peoples opinion of the perfect physique has changed. The typivcal skinny fat will say a fitness model is where its at, because its not a million miles from how they look nowOriginally posted by Shibby View PostI agree. If someone were to draw the perfect body builder or a powerful Greek god they would draw someone like him.
