The last two are petty bullshit. Everything from football games to funerals block traffic, man up and deal with it.

As for the first, who the hell would say that to a child even once let alone once every week?

Most don't believe that. There are constant battles between good and evil in this world. I'd say that's a fact. Whether or not you can bring religion into that is a choice. But like I said, most religious people believe that the world isn't a perfect place and sometimes evil wins. And somtimes things that appear to be evil are often done for the greater good.

What if in one of those examples, you gave when the drunk guy kills the innocent person. What if god needed another angel and took the good person right then and there? Is that really such a bad thing after all?

Your ignorance is very apparent. You choose not to believe even though you asked. They don't yell it at my son, but they say things like "I want you to be blessed by god so you don't go to hell" "Your little brother should get baptized so he doesn't go to hell"... blah blah blah. Maybe it's not verbatim but that's how it basically goes.

Not when it hurts their cause, but they will sure use it when it helps

I love a good religious debate, but there are two types of people usually in this debate that I have no respect for.

                1. The people who act like they KNOW FOR SURE that there is a God and nothing will ever change their mind and they will never accept the fact that there may not be.

                2. The people who act like they KNOW FOR SURE that there isn't a God and that its all just a bunch of bullshit.

None of us really know for sure either way and anyone who thinks they do, is a jackass in my opinion. I think Shibby falls into the jackass category #2 and God's Son falls into the jackass category #1. A wholesome person will accept that either possibility is true and look at it without a 100% decision. Even if you are 99% sure God doesn't exist, that's still ok with me, but if you are 100% then you're a jackass, know-it-all.

That would make you fall into the #2 category because if you actually knew my debate history, you would know I don't fall into #2. I have always said that I don't know for sure there isn't a god, it's just highly improbable and if there is a god it is nothing that we know. :clapback:

Then you aren't a jackass. But, it appears that you are 100% sure there isn't a God. Perhaps I've misunderstood and no I haven't read all your posts.

I said two of your three examples were bullshit. I think it's a petty little bitchfest to whine and cry about traffic. That's hardly imposing on your life or causing a huge hardship to you.

As for the third I simply asked who the hell would say that to a kid. Who does your kid encounter on a weekly basis that gives him that kind of shit? Is it family, teachers, fellow students, etc....

How are either of those opinions ignorant?

You made the statement that you can't avoid religion and that it intrudes into your life every single day without fail. I think you're being melodramatic and juvenile about the entire issue to be perfectly honest. It seems like you have a persecution complex and look for a reason to be offended by religion at every turn even when there is really no true issue.

This very thread is a perfect example. No one was busting your balls about being agnostic or an atheist so you started a thread calling someone out just so you could talk about religion. Why? If it bothers you that much why not just leave it alone?

Why don't you leave it alone? I didn't say it effects me daily without fail. The simple fact is it does have a continuous effect. I'm sure it wouldn't matter how much I list and had events, that are believable to you, that it effected my life. You have an arbitrary amount in your imagination as to what is to much for me or anyone else. Do we even need to get into how much religion intrudes in government, schools and community affairs? You don't like me pushing your religion back into the private lives of the individuals and I don't like having it pushed into my life. You want to have the world your way because you have been indoctrinated that it is right. I want people, including myself, to be able to live their lives as they choose without having to justify it or tip toe around continuous bigotry.

Which one of those sounds like a higher moralistic life?

I personally wouldn't leave this board if people bashed Islam. I'd just let them be on their way.

People who walk through life always looking for a reason to be offended usually find one.

Folks who just roll along and mind their own business rarely have that problem.

Good luck with your issues either way bro, I wish you nothing but the best with it.
