I'm not trying to act like anything. I simply made a point about your point. At this moment can you honestly say that the small part I was talking about wasn't a stretch to prove your point?

Did you post here asking for help?

Here...I'm doing what bouncer would do.

The Big Question: How old is humanity, and where did 'Homo sapiens' come from? - Science, News - The Independent

According that article humans are been around for the last 150,000 years and if you look how far the science has come in last a few decades and how much we learned about space, universe or human dna in that matter what makes you think that we gonna sit on what we know now about big bang theory and stop investigating whole lot more?

Do you really believe what we know now is still gonna be the same in a few hundred years? if you do I'm done with this conversation. :D

The majority of these people are looking at the specifics of the worlds current working, but not the big picture of how (beyond text books) or why. They look at science as what god gave us to work with instead science as what is just around us without an answer of the source. They accept the answer they were given as kids and never challenged themselves to find their own answer. I garuntee you if they had they would see that science is not compatible with their faith and would be much more skeptical about their faith.

That's the condescending attitude that makes atheists appear to be no better than proselytizing evangelists.

You can't believe that anyone can have an opinion that differs from yours unless they just aren't thinking, just aren't questioning, just don't see it the same as you.

Have you ever thought there are millions of muslims, buddhists, christians and jews with a much higher level of education and experience than you, they have in fact gave a great deal of thought to their faith and they still believe.

Is it that hard for you to accept that people smarter than yourself choose to believe in the concept of God?

I believe we will always build of the knowledge we have. The beauty od science is we always can move forward even if that means we have to throw out something we have gone by for decades.

My only reason of getting into a small part of your post is that you were trying to unfairly discredit the vast scientific knowledge of Hawking. If you are going to challenge the knowledge of someone in their own expertise with theit own language, you need to be spot on.

                  No problem.

I've never seen anyone here ask a pointed question about anyting serology/toxicology/ pathology related.

If someone does have a forensics related issue they would like clarification on feel free to ask.

will new discoverys come along that may change th way we think of things now.. absolutly

thats like saying Galileo Galilei's theorys and idea's were all BS, or einsteins etc..

they might not have understood everything that we do today but they had sound foundation.

I accept that they do, doesn't mean that they should though :D

Why should someone being smarter than me automatically give more credence to their faith? I will also point out there have been many surveys done where they start by asking the most intellegent people their faith and then work there way down from an intellegence point of view. You know what it always shows? That the more intellegent someone becomes the less likely they are to belive in a higher power. At best they belive in a higher power but nothing definable. Those few people at the top of the intllegence scale that still have faith are rare. Thatls called an anomally. And what does science do with anomolies?

Obviously you used the wrong smiley face. A scientist would have used a more precise one :P
