Boxers aren't big? Do you think he is small?

I crate trained my Husky, but he now stays out while we are at work. He sleeps all day and loves it. He goes to daycare 2-3 days a week(but they just closed, so we are trying to figure out other plans). We go to the dogpark on the weekends and fit some runs in there as well. He wants to sprint, not jog, so we are working on the running.

Compared to rotties and mastiffs yes.

Boxers are a medium/large breed not a extra large breed

Taller than a blade of grass but that's all I can tell, what weight? A rotting can be 190lb easy, that's a big dog, the average boxer is no bigger in fact smaller than a labrador in this country but our version maybe smaller than yours

I have never heard of a 190 lb Rottweiler. That's crazy.

Mr I 190lbs for a rottie a far heavier then the breed standard. Normal weight for a rottie would be 125-150lbs. Point remains though, they are much larger then a boxer.

It would be a poorly bred rottie as that is far outside the standard ideal weight.

He is about 100lbs there; heaveier than he should be and heavier than he is now (90 is his ideal weight to maintain his proper boxer shape). Yes Boxers are definitely a medium/large breed not extra large. And no healthy rottie is 190 ;)

Ok well you all schooled me on dog knowledge, we have a three bed two story semi detached with secure small garden and patio to the rear. All non scratch laminate floor downstairs, I can walk it on a morning and out would get lost of attention and outings on a normal weekend and evenings. We don't have kids as you know and to be honest out should be nice to have something else for is to care for except for each otherOut would be well taken care of so long as it would be ok left for a day.

Spoke to a freind, his boxer weighs 46lb and is apparently healthy weight, maybe the english version is smaller

the low end for a female is 55 lbs. is the dog a puppy?

we are not talking about american version vs english version. we are talking world standard. 46lbs is not the breed standard unless it is a growing puppy.

BLM thats a beautiful boxer. He's thick too. 100lbs is heavy for a boxer.

Bouncer watch your 8 year old. Cowboy, my 8 year old boxer died of natural causes a few years back.

Mr. I; good decision. I think just about everyone should have a dog. We leave our dogs inside while we are at work. They are never alone in the house more than 6/7 hours. Regular exercise is the key with high energy dogs.
