I don't personally have a problem with gun control.
That being said the stealth legislation generally, of which this one above in Lips post is one, has been going on for a good while and obama's government has been particularly prolific at amendments to the constitution.
The NRA have been particularly vocal against gun control hikes and you cannot deny the perfect timing of this incident from a political standpoint as it sways the public in fear of guns.Comment

America needs gun education, not control. Reading comments on news sites is sad. Most people believe he used an automatic assault rifle and that he freely bought tear gas at the store. I read one comment where a lady stated that "anti aircraft rockets are available in the US". It is scary that numerous people think only military and police should have guns, I can guarantee that will be a bad situation.
