Probably never be that close to it again....but don't bother to catch a quick train to see any of it.
Even ignoring my earlier points in this thread, the thing is I'm practically there already, if I open my door I'll see the same weather as you will on the TV screen, I'm just not impressed with huge crowds bro, does nothing for me.

Apart from that, coverage on TV will be better than being there from track and field. Only thing I'll perhaps go watch is tennis where the atmosphere is awsome and you can always see everything.

I'm excited by it but just not fussed about being part of a crowd

You've at least done it once though, I hope.

It's like saying you can see the entire world on TV, why bother to travel.

i stayed in a hotel and looked out the window. lol. fuck being in the crowd.

i dont agree with the travel analogy because you can travel without being swamped with 400 billion filts.

Certain things are gonna draw huge crowds, historic events tend to do that.

If you want to be a part you have to get in there and live a little.

i have no interest in being in the crowd at the olympics. what does that do for me? can i brag i was "in the crowd" whoopy fucken doo.

living for me is not being in a crowd of millions.

I didn't go to the Olympics when they were in Atlanta. Tickets are too expensive and at the end of the day it is a sporting event that the host city blows their wad to finance

The thing that Deca does not comprehend is that this olympics is circa 5 times the magnitude of salt lake in 2002, couple that with the fact its being squeezed into the outer corner of the Country's capital city and it makes for probable nightmare travel, silly prices, overcrowding etc etc, fuck that, London is bad anough under normal circumstances
