high water was good but it was no sicario imo. good acting but a very straight forward story without any real surprises.

the man who knew infinity on the other hand i thought was brilliant. i bet you were half watching it and half playing with the baby or something because i cant believe you didn't find this movie amazing.
I think my post about MWKI was misleading. I didn't hate it. But something didn't click in my opinion.

I took it for exactly what it was. A story based on true events of a man with a 1 in a million mind. Probably rarer actually.

I don't think I would say Ramanujan simply had a "fascination". He literally saw numbers differently. The way his mind worked out solutions is an absolute gift that can not simply be taught. Not at his level. You are either born with it or you aren't. Not arguing with you or anything, just pointing out that it was much much more than a fascination.

I know you're a proud father and I'm sure your son is very smart with a father like yourself. But it's a bit like saying I have the same fascination with sprinting as Usain Bolt. Get what I'm saying? It sort of lessens just how amazing Bolt is.

Now your son may have Ramanujan's gift but the odds of that are very very slim. (See how I worked math into the discussion? Clever ehh?) :D

P.S. I don't mean that as any sort of insult whatsoever. Ramanujan's mind was just absolutely amazing. That's all I'm trying to get across.

        • Split. Shyamalan is actually making good movies again. Hollywood helped to almost ruin the guy. Endless money and free reign. Glad to see that he is back at it. Looking forward to unbreakable 2

Yup, was good. Though it was all about the actor let's be honest. With an average actor that exact same movie would have been shit. LoL.

Logan is another one. An actual decent wolverine movie with a decent story.

Oooooo man. Great film that does linger days after. The robbery scene is an adrenaline rush. They did a great job of making the audience feel that energy.

the only thing that I would have changed is the kid who played bradley coopers son. that whole wigger act annoyed the fuck outta me. i can't remember the last time I wanted to kick someones ass from a movie so bad. i guess that makes him an effective actor to piss me off like that but fuck did he annoy me. lol

                      • I just saw The Foreigner with Jacky Chan. I was expecting another kung fu movie like Rumble in the Bronx but this was actually much better. His character was entirely believable. He really nailed the role and shit, at 61 he is still a badass.

We finally watched last night. Fucking great movie. I've seen the whole series and to my surprise this was by far the best of them all. The "acting" if that what you call it from CGI ape actors is fucking amazing. The emotions they are able to show with just a subtle facial expression or a simple hand gesture just blows me away. The relationship between the little girl and the apes almost had me in tears a few times. Just a great movie. Absolutely loved it.

Great movie. Hard to believe he became a very influential US senator after committing such an act.
