  • Thanks, Turbo. It actually was very easy to install. Took me about 1 hour max.

By the way, no need to spend a bunch of money. Get this one - this is what I got and it is excellent.

    • Here is a clip from my drive home this evening. I set the dashcam to record at 1080p, so make you pick the 1080p setting on youtube to display the clip. Pretty decent quality for 70 bucks, I think.

And yeah, I was streaming Pandora over BT to the stereo and it was set to an alternative music channel, so no grief about the music, please! :D You can hear the radar detector going off periodically in the background.

          • How do you like like the Mytouch Sync system?

I absolutely hate it! If it wasn't a fortune to completely remove and install something after market, I'd be all over it.

Just like a Windows machine; unstable, unreliable, and unpredictable.

"The next update will resolve those issues." Seems to be a common sentiment across the web.

            • What year is your truck, blm? I think the old MFT had issues, but they worked out all the kinks. The new ones are excellent IMO. Totally seamless... phone connects when I get in the car, all calls come through the stereo system, I can use voice commands to make calls, etc. I can also do all the navigation, control climate, select radio stations, etc. entirely by voice without taking my hands off the wheel.

I am very happy with it. The only time I have to actually do something on my phone is if I have to stream Pandora because even if I select BT audio by a voice command, the MFT system is not able to tell the phone to launch Pandora and I have to launch that app manually, but that is a limitation of the BT version on my 2 year old phone. Apparently, newer phones have an updated BT version that reconnnects to whatever app was playing the last time.

              • 2014. You are one of the few that like it. It's clunky and distracting to use while driving. IMO.

                  • Hmm.. weird. Well I like it and that's all that matters, I guess! :D Do you have the version with the full 8" screen that look like this below:

Maybe it is implemented differently in different vehicles? :dunno:

Make all the fun you want, fucking thing drives amazing. It's quiet, smooth, it has those big ass 20" rims and it still drives smooth as butter and for a giant box it corners amazingly flat with great brakes.
Can't ask much more from a minivan. Lol.
