                  • Lololol. Bro...

You have an Xbox one don't you?

The only reason a game would run better on inferior hardware like the Xbox one is because it was optimized better by the game maker to run on a particular system.

The ps4 is simply the more powerful system to play games. This isn't fanboy bs, it just is.

You are right however the Xbox One AMD CPU is 10 percent faster than the PS4 as stated in the article. Although the 10 percent difference in cpu clock speed shouldn't be what causes the big performance difference.

Compared to the single-player mode, we see low frame-rates sustained for longer in demanding scenes filled with NPCs and environmental detail on both consoles when playing co-operatively online. These situations see the PS4 sticking closely to 20fps, while the Xbox One carves out 3-5fps lead. The experience is smoother on Microsoft's platform, but is hardly what we would describe as 'smooth' - judder and loss of controller response is a real issue on both consoles, regardless of which one gains a frame-rate advantage.

In less strenuous areas, frame-rates often hit a 30fps lock on the Xbox One, although the same experience doesn't translate over to the PS4 all the time, which still drops frames more often. Since we aren't dealing with scenes crammed with NPCs in these instances, it's hard to see what exactly is causing the PS4 to be hit so hard - the difference cannot be explained by the 10 per cent boost in CPU clock-speed on the Xbox One, perhaps suggesting that the underlying netcode issues are more to blame here.

                        Let's talk games or something.

Anyone getting 1886 or whatever it is called? Havent turned on my system in weeks.

Anyone play the battlefield beta? I heard about it. Missed out.

LOL. Order 1886. I'm waiting for reviews to come out. So far I've read that the game is short some people beat it in 5 hours or so others in 7-8 which isn't too bad. But there's no multiplayer.

the problem with your argument bro is your looking at a game that was horribly optimized for the PS4.

as you said. the ONLY game that runs better. it was ported better for the xbox one by the game developer.

there is a reason that ALL other games run better on the PS4 at higher res.

yea the 1886 looks like an amzing technical feat but its only 5-6 hours long and that INCLUDES about 2 hours of cut scenes that you cannot skip. so 3 hours of actual game play... I'll pick it up when it's $30 on amazing in 2-3 months..

Yeah but even looking a GTA V. IT is better on PS4 but in certain areas Xbox One performance is better.

But once we venture on to later missions, certain buckling points start appearing on each console. For the PS4, this often manifests during speed races through busy downtown junctions, where a drop to 24fps constitutes our biggest performance dip. In running a time-lapse comparison of these grid-locked areas, it's interesting to learn traffic patterns are indeed identical for both platforms - the density of active vehicles is matched for both PS4 and Xbox One, so the Microsoft console's advantage here is probably down to its faster CPU cores. Xbox One, meanwhile, suffers from drops around heavier traffic, but typically to a lesser extent than its PS4 stablemate. The downside for Microsoft's more GPU-restricted platform is in a different area entirely meanwhile; namely, the console's handling of transparency effects such as explosions or water sprays.
