I like the leather look, but reports on long term use show that it wears very easily. Shouldn't be a problem if you are using a case.

I've read a lot of the opposite. Lol. Seems people have been pleasantly surprised by it's durability.

Either way, I'm not particularly hard on phones so it shouldn't be an issue.

Got the phone last night. Still playing with settings and familiarizing myself with it. Running lollipop.

Started on fresh battery at 8am; 6 hours later with no video or music streaming, (1) 10 minute phone call and typical browsing, I am at 50%. Heavy use would kill it in half a day.

blm, lollipop improves the battery as you use it over a few days. update us on the battery issue in a week. bet you see a pretty big improvement.

also disable "scanning always available" in the wifi advanced settings. its a known battery killer that offers nothing in terms of function.

That is the main con with the 2014 Moto X.

Been a few days. No change in battery life. Consistently around 50% halfway through day with normal use; browsing, texting, few random pictures, handful of short phone calls. No streaming of music or videos or playing from device.

Other than that I really like the phone. No buyers remorse.

I guess that's about where I'm at with the Nexus 5. I unplug from charger around 6-8 am and its empty on average by about 8pm It was really bad right after the lollipop update but improved for the better after about 3 days with googles "learning" battery options in lollipop. That's what I was hoping would happen for you.

This is what I was talking about. Maybe there is some tweaks you can do.

Still don't have Lollipop from AT&T. I guess they have to test all their crapware on it before they push it! [emoji35]

Haha... I am pretty sure AT&T will just push 5.0.1. One upgrade instead of two. In the meantime, I am loving my phone! :weights:

This sum bitch gets hot! My daughter had a Christmas play tonight and I recorded a handful of 1-2 min videos and I couldn't put it back in my pocket it was so hot. I noticed that with any continual use; reading long articles, surfing the web, flipping between tabs on various sites, etc it heats up quick.

Hmmm.. I recorded a continuous 30 min video this morning in my son's school. The phone got a bit warm but nothing major. Did you have some other processes running in the background?
