Planning a trip for my 40th

June 1st....I'll be heading out to Abu Dhabi....to conquer my fear of heights and skydive; what better place to do this than there:thumb:

I've always wanted to visit Abu Dhabi....I will be visitng some bjj schools and so much other stuff:grin:

That said, Abu Dhabi? Srsly? Gulf cities are kinda cool but really, Abu Dhabi ranks about 100 in my list of places to visit.

I'll be 40 come June 1st....well for about a year now, I've been thinking about taking a hike/trip by myself and making like a short little video/pics as I travel. I've always wanted to skydive, but been terrified due to Fear of heights.

I have concerns about going to other countries, but I'm not letting that type of fear holding me back either. If you think about it, I could fly there and never c/b and I could also jump out of the plane and skydive and bitch not open. Lol


No seriously, I'm sure I'll have a blast and quite honestly, looking forward on experiencing this type of travels alone.

How set are you about this Abu Dhabi thing? Not dissuading you, but there are so many other adventure expeditions that you can go on as a lone traveller. I would consider trekking (not climbung) in the Himalayas as something that is absolutely wonderful. Safari in Namibia, or hiking the Australian outback. The problem I have with Abu Dhabi is that you will have to do it as part of an organized tour for safety reasons, unless you are going to keep to the city and touristy stuff.

But whatever you pick, hope you have a great time!

Rado, go to Abu Dhabi, don't listen to scrum. Just go explore even if it means crossing boarders. They have boy scout types over there called ISIS and they will take care of you if you lost.

Even my Egyptian friends at work have dissuaded me from going to the Middle East at this time, and they know I've been wanting to visit Egypt for a long time.

On the other hand, I've heard Turkey is absolutely wonderful. Maybe Beast can comment.

you'll love it bro. that part of the world isnt my cup of tea but had to go for work. i enjoyed the amount of money thats on display over there. i took some nice bikes and cars out for some fun. i know you are a car guy so try and get behind the wheel at least once.

What I'm set on is going on a weeks adventure by myself for my 40th. Ideally skydiving has been on my mind and visiting Abu Dhabi has always been a dream of mine, I know weird...whatever lol

Also if I buy the tickets right now, it's only $1500 round trip for just the flight....which I find that pretty cheap considering where I'm going.

I'd be open for suggestions, nothing crazy though...like visiting Africa...wtf lol.

My other option was Amsterdam and yes I'd go to the coffee shops; I've always wanted to visit and see what it's like being able to smoke free without criminal penalty.

I'd like to document(for my own)this weekly trip, perhaps maybe even 5 days....
