cant you guys go to your own country to smoke free?

amsterdam is awesome on its on though.

If i were you and had the cash id go to south africa. it was cheap there and we ate really well, stayed in really nice places. im guessing it would be even cheaper for you with the US $.

Safari was awesome best experience of my life to date.

Also if I buy the tickets right now, it's only $1500 round trip for just the flight....which I find that pretty cheap considering where I'm going.

I'd be open for suggestions, nothing crazy though...like visiting Africa...wtf lol.

My other option was Amsterdam and yes I'd go to the coffee shops; I've always wanted to visit and see what it's like being able to smoke free without criminal penalty.

I'd like to document(for my own)this weekly trip, perhaps maybe even 5 days....

You should totally consider Amsterdam, even if not for this trip but another. It isn't cheap, but the city just has such a cool feel to it. The Dutch are very friendly people, the town itself is so cool, and there is plenty to do. I :pink: Amsterdam.

As a side note - my parents are flying to Australia right now. Damn them for not taking me! :disagree:

Me too! Well actually, I want to go to either Kruger or to Tanzania (Masai Mara) or to Namibia. Some day, some day...

Just go to Colorado and smoke.

Amsterdam has a lot more to offer other than smoke.

Went to Amsterdam for 2 days when I was visiting Germany. I was young, around 20. Don't remember most of the trip. All I remember is I spent a ton of cash and had a lot of fun in 2 days! lol

Don't do tour guides bro... That's just stupid. Only time I would consider tour guides is if you are going on a safari to Africa or to Antarctica or something like that where there is a lot of permits or specialized skills that are needed for safety. Everywhere else, do research on the web. Get some Lonely Planet guides and read through them. Go on Trip Advisor and look for places to stay. I can assure you, you will be miserable on a guided trip - that's for old retirees.

I'm not so sure. I'm sure there are different type of tours with different levels of adventure etc..

I personally think a tour guide especially in a none English speaking nation could be very beneficial in terms of knowledge gained and getting a better understanding of the place.

I think I would do a short guided tour and after I get the basics and the layout of the land so to speak, I would venture out on my own.

Rick Steves is the shit! :D https://www.ricksteves.com/tours

I don't think it will satisfy him based on what he is saying. If he wants to be by himself for a couple of weeks... Versus surrounded by a bunch of retirees. I don't think it is necessary for Western Europe if you are relatively young and able bodied.

But it will definitely take the guesswork out.

Gotta remember though that this is rado you're talking about. He isn't cultured and he won't take the time to read or brush up on the history and culture of the place.

Without any sort of guidance he will walk around saying "this sucks" and be done with it. Much like Rocket in that regard. Good peeps but simple jacks none the less.

Rado, may I suggest a local carnival and call it a day..
