Most of tthese bikers had legally owned firearms and we're compelled by their gang to buy such and get a concealed weapon permit.

      Law is the answer!

Prevent known gang members from attaining concealed weapon permits

Why isn't the solution the investigation and eradication of multiple national and international criminal enterprises that engage in everything from child prostitution, to counterfeiting and everything in between. Why isn't the first thing we are saying is enough of this violent criminal behavior, lets dismantle this bullshit.....Society shouldn't have to pay a price because evil men seek to do evil things.

Spot on. Certainly applicable to an array of issues.

laws keep a society running smoothly. there have been laws as long as societies have existed for a reason.

lets think about traffic laws to illustrate my point.

a society without speed limits, stop signs, or road lights would result in chaos in the streets.

should we have no laws? should we never again put something into law? Should we remove all traffic laws? Should we instead say "do what you want on the streets and every case will just be investigated and eradicated after the fact"?

I think you missed the point. I didn't see anything about having total awlessness.

He mentioned child prostitution and counterfeiting in his reply. There are laws against that but they are still very lucrative businesses.

Broad all encompassing laws aren't effective; refer back to your patriotic act post.

Focusing on those committing the crimes rather than focusing on the tools used to commit those crimes seems more logical to me.

I believe that was his point.

And nobody is suggesting a broad all encompassing law towards guns either. We are saying laws need to be more strict and harder to get.

Recent gun laws suggested are in fact very vague and broad. Not only affecting owners of semi automatic weapons but owners of compact personal protection firearms and hunting firearms.

Very strict laws on steroids. How's everybody's cycles going on the board?

Are you in support of more strict gun control than occurs now?

I am in full support of strict gun laws like they have in the UK, Mr. I. All I really use my guns for are hunting and shooting old furniture and toilets and all I need for hunting is my shotgun and .22lr. I say we should ban all new imports and production of pistols and high powered rifles immediately! That way I can sell my pistols and rifles in the hysteria and make a butt load of money then go up to Canada and smuggle in some more passed the relaxed border patrol.
