yes, if you know how to do it. fair warning that it's not as easy as a cable or sat guide. i can post the instructions but I'm just warning anyone thinking about dumping cable or sat that there is a learning curve here.Originally posted by Chadd77 View PostCan you pick which NFL game you want to watch?

Don't think I'll ditch cable. Even though I hardly ever watch TV, when I want to watch something it's nice to be able to record and watch whenever I want. I would love to be able to watch my football team if it's not being televised in my area. Post up the instructions if you don't mind. I'd like to test it out.

Download VLC player.
When the game is live right click on the game of your choice in the following link I'm about to post and copy it.
Open up VLC player and go to the media tab then scroll down to stream.
Paste the link you copied into the box and then select play (not stream) and hit ok.
Job done, you now have a live game of your choice in HD.

This is happening much faster then I thought. Expect to see some heavy discounts coming from Cable and Sat. For you guys with Cable or Sat, you'd be smart to call them up and hassle them for a deal. I'm sure they will start increasing their customer retention program. I have no doubt in my mind that at the very least you could save yourself $25 or more per month.
