Police forces are 20% decent people who are too scared to cross the thin blue line, 60% apathetic and/or generally inept, and 20% gun-wielding sociopaths.

That's the sad state of LE in our country.

I took some LEJA classes and one of the things I learned is there are peer reviewed articles estimating that 1 in 10 cops are corrupt.

See, that's the problem. This happens time and time again where on psycho goes off and the rest just watch. I saw one incident where one cop steps in and restrains the other and I read that he was ostracised and basically run out of town on a rail. So, the good guys end up being complicit because they are too afraid to hurt their careers and step across the line.

Let me just say before I post the following link that I generally support the police and I think they do a great deal of good and have to deal with a ton of scum bags day in and day out.

That said, they need to start a better selection process of who they are training to be police officers. They are supposed to be professionals, not fucken filth.

Yep. I bet this happened all the time. Just think how many times the police report was the only thing to go on. Resisting arrest is a convenient catch-all for justifying pretty much anything the cops did.

I guess he'd rather the police not be held accountable?

:laugh::laugh: It is sad that the FBI director was being serious.

It is ok for the government to record a lowly citizen, but don't get any crazy ideas and start recording governmental employees.

What a joke. This guy should be tossed out on his ass for making such comments.

What a load of BS. 2015 is well below average for police deaths or injuries on the job. In addition, the data shows that there has been no statistically significant increase in violence towards LE after any of these recent incidents relating to videotaping LE.

The FBI director is full of crap, as are all the police chiefs, the Mayor of Chicago and others who are suggesting that increased videotaping of police is leading to violence against them.
