        • Man Chad I just saw this! Scary! Glad you're ok and still maintaining weight.

I skimmed through some of this thread a bit so turbo what's the concensus on fish oil. I take a few grams of it a day.

a 1 gram cap only has like 300mg of the actual beneficial stuff. need 8-10 caps for results. All the studies done with fish oil used this dose or a much higher concentration. not that it would have helped with chadd.

            • Today has been 11 weeks since my injury. Since there is no more risk of clotting I started back on a trt dose to help me feel somewhat normal. I had a specialized ultrasound test today with a neurologist that came in from Ohio. The velocity of blood flow through the damaged artery is still much lower than the healthy one. This is to be expected and may always be like that. I still have to go through a couple more tests before they can say for sure but... he was saying in most cases there is limited activity for 6 months and fully healed at a year. I really hope I heal faster than that. He seemed somewhat surprised that I was doing some exercises now without any issues. He said maybe I can return to the gym by July 1 with VERY light weight training but nothing over 30 pounds. And no soccer for a year. Again, I have to wait to know for sure but that was what he sees in most cases.

I’m not a complainer at all and really trying to stay positive but I can’t wait to get back at it. Going to the gym and playing soccer were my stress relievers.

              • What exactly is the danger with exercise? Do they not want blood pumping through that area very fast or what?

It's the squeezing movements (tightening of the abdominal) that can cause the dissected artery to tear again if it's not fully healed. He didn't seem concerned when I asked about getting my heart rate up so I'm still trying to do some exercises but without straining.

                        • I had 2 MRA's done last week and met with my neurologist yesterday to go over the results. Looks like the artery is healing very well but is not 100%. He told me I could return to the gym but to continue to stay away from any squeezing type of activity/movements. Basically light weight and a lot of reps. He said it should be completely healed in another 3 months. Yesterday I trained chest. Felt awesome! I was like a kid in a candy store walking into the gym. Dna at a pizza buffet! Mr I at a conspiracy theory conference. Bouncer receiving a lifetime supply of Just For Men. I think you get the point. Any ways… Even though it was light weight training, my chest is very sore. It’s a good feeling! Still anxious to get the green light to return back to 100% but it feels great to be back in the gym!
