I know exactly how you felt:)

She had hers done earlier this year and best decision she's made for her sight.

The cost? $1100....she has amazing insurance/benefits. Being an RN and working for Boston hospitals is a huge perk and amazing insurance.

Check out the video I took of her surgery

not really, uncomfortable for sure. but she handled it well. i drove home and she was fine the next day for work and training. a few days of soreness but nothing alarming. i didn't record the entire operation, but you can see she's calm and wasn't that bad:)

Ha ha ..yea i felt weird as i watched...she was calm as fuck....i would have clocked the doc had i felt that shit cutting my eye.

ALL bs aside, isn't it crazy the tech we have these days? I mean for anyone to just sit there calmly while they do that:woot: I get a fucking eyelash in my eyeball and makes me wanna scratch the fuck out of it

How long was it? We went in and out in an hour. He did give her a VALIUM prior to the visit. Said it would help her eyes relax and seems to have worked.

They gave me valium too. But the computer wouldnt take the adjustments for one of my eyes because it was such a small adjustment I guess?? So im laying there with the flap of my eye pulled back and my cornea just hanging out...lol Then my eye kept drifting and anytime it moves the laser cuts off. The whole thing took me about an hour too.

Nice...well glad you can see better. My eyesight is 20/15 but my hearing sucks, like really bad. I'd rather have bad hearing as to bad eyes.

Sorry guys I've been working a ton this week!

Okay its been a week since its was done. I am finally getting used to using both eyes together rather than just using one eye. I never wore glasses regularly when I was a kid I felt like a nerd with the glasses on so I never wore them so I didnt realize what I was missing. Its like comparing a dvd and Blu-ray. The grass is so green now! I can see the definition in the trees and even the blades of grass. The sky is so blue and everything is so crisp!

At first I was second guessing having it done. But now that I'm getting used to doing things different, like I don't need to hold things so close to read them. So I have to remind myself to hold things further back. But its pretty awesome seeing everything so clearly! Last time I had to renew my drivers license I didn't pass the eye test so I'm excited to go back and redeem myself!!! LOL

And I still think I have a little more healing to do. There is a ring of blood around the colored part of my eye still from where they cut the flap but its looking alot better. Im really glad I did this. I go back on Tuesday for the final check up. But its nice not having to ask the kids to read something for me. :)

                            Good to hear.

Did they make you wear those ugly glasses when you were in the service?

No I passed the vision test back then. My right eye saw 20/20 so I had no issues. I actually shot expert with the rifel and the pistol every time without glasses. But that eye has gotten weaker over the years.
