OK, what I am saying is not a Republican or Democrat issue. Do we believe all Americans should get affordable healthcare, or is it ok if some of the poorest and sickest people can't afford to see the doctor?

A lot of the healthcare debate, when you strip away the rhetoric, basically boils down to this question. Should EVERYONE be able to get medical care when needed with any concern about being able to afford it, or is healthcare not a right?

Here are the facts of American healthcare.

    1. We spend more money than any other country in the world on healthcare by far.

    2. But surely, we must be the healthiest people considering we spend more than 2X per capita of the #2 country in the world, right? Unfortunately, no. We have tsome of the worst life expectancies of the developed world.

    3. We spend more per doctor's visit by far compared to any other industrialized nation on earth.

    4. And since almost 10% of our population is uninsured, and SURELY going to go higher after the AHCA goes in, all of these people are one bad break away from financial ruin.

It is not a pretty picture. As the richest country in the world, are we satisfied with this? America has always been a dog eat dog world but now, we seem to be taking perverse pleasure in grinding the poor and the unfortunate into the dirt.

awkward as fuck. he honestly comes across like there is something mentally wrong with him. i knew he was always a narcissist and an egomaniac, that doesn't bother me so much. But I always figured "well he must be pretty smart to have made it this far in life". I'm starting to wonder if it because he's always had helpers and people surrounding him to get anything done. Left by himself he seems unable to even communicate properly in a 1 on 1 meeting. left by himself he goes on twitter rants that the white house then has to take weeks to try and cleanup and save face. he seems unable to control impulses.
