The full arms sale, of over $20 billion, was notified in November 2016. This means it had already been authorized by congress and the executive branch, when President Obama was in office, before the Trump administration came into office.Originally posted by Bouncer View Post
The devil is in the details. Trump didn't "sell", he just didn't cancel the transaction that was approved months ago. Our government has theee branches. Seems the media smear campaign forgets that small fact.

The political landscape/foreign affairs is a complex beast. No, he really can't just say nevermind. Too many people receive money from these foreign countries. This deal is a lot bigger than Trmp. The media just needed a juicy headline to get clicks. It is third grade journalism (sadly it is now the norm). I don't like the guy at all, but I can distance myself from the right vs left bullshit and see the middle ground.Originally posted by Bouncer View Postcould he not have stopped it? if he could have i dont see much of a difference.

He couldn't have made an "executive decision" like he did so much of in that first month and just haulted the whole fucken thing? I find that hard to believe. I feel like he could have if he really wanted. But then again I don't claim to be an expert with this kind of shit so maybe your right.Originally posted by Turbo3000 View PostThe political landscape/foreign affairs is a complex beast. Could he have issued an EO? I'm not a legal scholar, not sure.Originally posted by Bouncer View PostHe couldn't have made an "executive decision" like he did so much of in that first month and just haulted the whole fucken thing? The news didn't make a big deal of this story in November. We are all puppets in this game. That is why I pay my insane taxes and healthcare and try to live my life. Doesn't matter who is in charge. Washington has been raped. The federal govenment is a joke.
