You see what you want to see my sad friend. In the same way that some people see Jesus in a piece of toast...Originally posted by TrapsBrah View PostNot dumb or pretending to be but don't you find it ironic that the United nations logo is a map of the flat earth

The funny thing is if you ask the average person the question why is the earth round? You'll get answers like gravity, we went to the moon, or there's pictures not much else. No one even knows the curvature of the earth why isn't that even taught in schools it should be 8 inches per mile squared so first mile is 8binches then 32 inches then 72 and so forth.Originally posted by Bouncer View Postthat's great. you're not pretending to be a dumb ass you just are one.

Flip that around, prove it's flat..Originally posted by TrapsBrah View PostThe funny thing is if you ask the average person the question why is the earth round? Because the US school system is crap? The fact that we are having a conversation about the earth being flat in the 21st century is clear proof of that.Originally posted by TrapsBrah View PostThe funny thing is if you ask the average person the question why is the earth round? I also think somehow the internet has actually made people dumber. You would think that the vast amount of info we now have access to would make people smarter but there is so much misinformation and pseudoscience out there that I guess it's easy for people to walk down the path of dumbassery.Originally posted by Scrumhalf View PostBecause the US school system is crap? Add to that the way social media is setup where you can block things that don't interest you and only view misinformation. The result being that we have this whole new level of "modern day moron" as is evident in a fella like traps.

The Suez Canal connecting the Mediterranean with the Red Sea is 100 miles long without any locks making the water an uninterrupted continuation of the two seas. When constructed, the Earth’s supposed curvature was not taken into account, it was dug along a horizontal datum line 26 feet below sea-level, passing through several lakes from one sea to the other, with the datum line and water’s surface running perfectly parallel over the 100 miles.Originally posted by Mr I View PostFlip that around, prove it's flat..
The London and Northwestern Railway forms a straight line 180 miles long between London and Liverpool. The railroad's highest point, midway at Birmingham station, is only 240 feet above sea-level. If the world were actually a globe, however, curveting 8 inches per mile squared, the 180 mile stretch of rail would form an arc with the center point at Birmingham raising a full 5,400 feet above London and Liverpool. Adding the station's actual height (240 feet) to its theoretical inclination (5,400 feet) gives 5,640 feet as the rail's necessary height on a globe Earth, more than a thousand feet taller than Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in Great Britain
