SEOUL/TOKYO (Reuters) - South Korean and Japanese jets joined exercises with two supersonic U.S. B-1B bombers above and near the Korean peninsula on Thursday, two days after North Korea fired a missile over Japan, sharply raising tension.
The drills, involving four U.S. stealth F-35B jets as well as South Korean and Japanese fighter jets, came at the end of annual joint U.S.-South Korea military exercises focused mainly on computer simulations.

There is no diplomatic talks that will work with this guy and more sanctions will only piss him off more. Sanctions is what led Japan to bomb pearl harbor.
We need to take care of this now not later. We are only giving him more time to build WMD's. We have to strike and strike fucken hard. Simultaneous attack on military targets including the palace from South Korea, Japan, and USA. May need to be weeks of bombing if necessary. Pound the launch sites with our biggest bunker buster bombs day in and day out. Bomb their artilary aimed at South Korea day in and day out. Attack from every direction blitzkrieg style from the air and sea.Comment

Kim knows that if he did a pre-emptive strike, he will get obliterated because the whole world will come to get him, no matter what.
This is pure deterrence. He is telling the world and the US in particular - don't mess with me. Having a nuke is the most effective deterrent against a conventional strike.
The ONLY rational choice the US and the rest of the world has at this point is to wait him out and hope that in the next 30, 40, 50 years, just like with the Soviets, or China, or Vietnam, or any other totalitarian regime, there will be regime change from the inside and gradually, things will get better.
In the meantime, what we should be doing is the LOWER the rhetoric, not exacerbate the situation.Comment
