It was great. The island is very Americanized, which isn't something we care about, but we were at the beach the majority of the time. We will be back next year. Plus the Ritz treated us like royalty.

I guess my point isn't about who's right or wrong it's about showing respect. Something that seems to be lost with the younger generation.

But with your statement above... Then your pro guns since it's part of the constitution of United States? Didn't realize that you were but good to know!

Speaker Ryan put it surprisingly well. I just heard him say it on the news. I will post the quote as soon as I can find it online. He put it into words better than I am going to be able to do but the basic idea was that everyone has a right to protest, but the flag itself means different things to people depending on your background. Thats where the disconnect and misunderstanding comes from.

He wasn't saying anyone was wrong or right. Just that the way people view the flag and what it stands for means very different things for different people.

It's easy to understand the perspective of a mother who has buried her son who lost his life in the military. That flag was draped across his casket, that flag was folded and given to her. That flag has an incredibly powerful meaning to her. So when she sees a millionaire football player who literally plays a game for a living make these kinds of protests she does not see that football players point, she does not see his perspective, she only sees a form of disrespect towards her son.

Again, I'm not saying 1 side is right or wrong. Just that it's understandable that people are not going to see eye to eye on this issue because of the differences in life experiences and understanding or what that flag represents to them.

The whole point of the Ritz is to be treated like royalty. lol.

Did you go to the Jack Nicklaus golf course restaurant? I remember having a really fucken good sandwich there.

Absolutely pro-gun. I hunt and fish and I conceal carry (yes in California). Mentioned to Bouncer in the other thread I stopped at the Costco in Sacramento on my way to Lake Tahoe. Went shooting that weekend across the border Nevada getting ready for mule deer season.

Most of my friends who are also democrat are pro-gun. Don't believe all the fear mongering and labeling of "liberals" in the right wing media and community. There are extremes on both sides. Me and most people I know in Cali are moderate democrats. Close to center but lean left.

yea we'll see how strong his convictions are if he's in debt and has the chance at a multi million dollar contract with the clause that he stands.
