Can you believe there was a time, not too long ago where women couldn't even vote? What if nobody ever stood up against that? Where would we be?

It's wasn't all that long ago when you could own slaves. Someone made a stand against that. It was very recent when blacks and whites couldn't go to the same schools or even use the same restrooms and had to sit in the back of the bus. Someone stood up against that. And now recently in 2017, we have police who treat blacks as 2nd class citizens and carry fake guns to plant on people in the case where they shoot them.

What Keapernick and these guys are doing is just as brave and admirable as what Martin Luther King did or Rosa Parks. In Kaepernick's case he lost his job over it and got death threats. There is a reason he was voted as GQ's citizen of the year. This photo is very powerful, to me it looks like they are nervous and aren't even comfortable doing this. They know of the backlash. This is true bravery.

no this is nothing like the people you quoted. Kap didn't loose his job over tis he was on his way out before this happened and prob did It because he knew he was on the way out. him not getting picked up as a 3rd string cuz of this I might agree but that would depend on his pay he's not worth his pay anymore.

his reason to kneel could be good or bad it dont matter cuz the way he sends it pissed so many people off they will never hear it. I bet half the people you ask won't even know why he's doing it? they dont care. AMERICA is in a very weird time and attacking the flag or military is way way outta bounds right now in this country.

    Nah. No nerves hit.

You tried to jump on Rado a about parenting and you make snarky comments from time to time. Nothing worse than a parent that thinks they know how everyone else should parent.

And you skipped everything else I wrote.

    Good post and I agree.

It's a choice of whether or not I stand, and I do stand.

BUT if I ever opted out, it is ok to do so

Sorry avid! I can admit when I'm an asshole. Doesn't happen often! lol
I loved being in the military but I thought I loved a girl more and got out. I often regret getting out. Though I still stay in touch with a bunch of guys I was in with.

Why stand if you don’t feel like you are treated as well as other members of the populace? People complained when they protested in the streets, so many used their national stage to kneel. What would you prefer? How would you handle the same situation?

America is free. Free to stand or kneel.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Not sure why this is such a difficult concept to grasp.

It depends on what his intent was. The act of kneeling alone means nothing unless you know for what reason the person is kneeling.

I know. I just like quoting the bible and talking about the tenants of Christianity because mire often than not being a "Good Christian" is the opposite of current conservative doctrine. I laugh at Christian Conservatives that are in favor of Trump.

I grew up in the church but I am agnostic now.

XFL is a private business, they aren't a democracy. you sign a contract agreeing to those rules. if you don't want to be part of it you don't have to.

Hopefully you're at least consistent in your thinking... And when a loved one passes you do not show up at their funeral to show respect and honor that person.

first thing every day the whole school stands out side facing the flag do the anthem and site their core values. they will stay in this school until high school then I will let them decide what ever they want but until then they will stand and respect our flag unless they come to me with a reason why they shouldn't. they actually like it and get excited when they get to lead the school so I doubt anything will change for them.

yes I know its your right to not stand but I dont care your a fucking selfish self centered lil fag if you dont prob seeking attention and dont even know why you are kneeling anyways.
I know why the football fags are kneeling and they have every right to kneel to bring attention to their cause but picking to kneel at this time in our country history is as smart as a box of rocks. no one gives a shit about their cause just the fact they are disrespecting our country thats all anyone sees. the cause went out the window when they decided to kneel.

you know what people see when these retards kneel. that man that got shot toady in FL at the school shielding all the kids. he is a fucking AMERICAN hero and our flag represents that type of action. all people see is the football guys disrespecting that guy and other Americans that acted like him. right or wrong dont matter thats all they see.
The cause went out the window when white America attacked, defected, and brought the dumb ass POTUS into the cause
