fuck that my kids goto a school where classical leadership education is taught.
first thing every day the whole school stands out side facing the flag do the anthem and site their core values. they will stay in this school until high school then I will let them decide what ever they want but until then they will stand and respect our flag unless they come to me with a reason why they shouldn't. they actually like it and get excited when they get to lead the school so I doubt anything will change for them.
yes I know its your right to not stand but I dont care your a fucking selfish self centered lil fag if you dont prob seeking attention and dont even know why you are kneeling anyways.
I know why the football fags are kneeling and they have every right to kneel to bring attention to their cause but picking to kneel at this time in our country history is as smart as a box of rocks. no one gives a shit about their cause just the fact they are disrespecting our country thats all anyone sees. the cause went out the window when they decided to kneel.
you know what people see when these retards kneel. that man that got shot toady in FL at the school shielding all the kids. he is a fucking AMERICAN hero and our flag represents that type of action. all people see is the football guys disrespecting that guy and other Americans that acted like him. right or wrong dont matter thats all they see.
How am I free if I am forced/pressured into standing for the Pledge of Allegiance etc? If I sit for it or question it I am berated by insults? How is that being free?
You are free! Free to believe what I believe!
People forget the principles the U.S. was founded on. Why we revolted from Great Britain.

A lot has to do with how you were raised. Obliviously your parents never taught you what respect means. And I have no doubt you'll pass that lack of respect on to your kids (if you have them). Can you see the domino effect here? To say you don't want to stand and honor those who lost their life to give you the freedom we have in this amazing country is beyond inconsiderate.
Hopefully you're at least consistent in your thinking... And when a loved one passes you do not show up at their funeral to show respect and honor that person.

I see you have not paid attention to many of my prior posts. Most of my family, including my brother and myself, have bled for this country and that is a part of why I believe the way I do.
I love this country because we are based on the freedom to believe in what we want to believe. I feel it is the most un-American thing a person can do is to tell another person what rituals they have to participate in and what they have to believe in. Your words may be patriotic to you but it is un-patriotic in my eyes.
That's the thing... you shouldn't have to be told to stand. Like Rocket said above, give me a good reason you shouldn't? Maybe you were molested in the service and for that reason you choose not to stand. I would be ok with that. So what's your reason?

Read the post I posted earlier in the conversation.

So, a group of black football players trying to raise awareness for an issue isn’t enough reason? Getting treated like a second class citizen isn’t enough of a reason? Getting harrassed by police isn’t a reason? Getting pulled over for being black isn’t a reason?
Why stand if you don’t feel like you are treated as well as other members of the populace? People complained when they protested in the streets, so many used their national stage to kneel. What would you prefer? How would you handle the same situation?

The cause went out the window when white America attacked, defected, and brought the dumb ass POTUS into the cause

A lot of parenting holier than thou post from you lately. Stop bringing kids into conversations.
Listen to Vince McMahon talk about the XFL where the players are required to stand during the national anthem. Trump and Fox News pundents talking negativley about the NFL players kneeling for the national anthem.
Children in schools being forced to stand and pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America. "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on earth below. You shall not be down to them or worship them" Exodus 20: 4-5.
Nationalistic expressions make us serve two (2) masters. "No one can serve two masters" Matthew 6:24. Nationalism is defined as loyalty and devotion to a nation. It is placing one nation above all others. Nationalism believes God supports the nation, i.e. the British saying, "God and Country!"
"We must obey God rather than human beings," Acts 5:29.

XFL is a private business, they aren't a democracy. you sign a contract agreeing to those rules. if you don't want to be part of it you don't have to.
and LOL @ quoting religion as if it has a strong history of human rights, compassion, and freedom. holy fuck bro wake up. religion is the single biggest offender of oppression in history.
chadd i think me and you agree on this issue more then we disagree. but i have to point something out here. avid was in the military. he served the country. he deserves a little more respect then to say "maybe you were molested in the service".. that's not cool. avid is not some fag sitting in his basement talking shit about the country. he is a veteran who was willing to give his life for this country. if anyone has the right not to stand if he doesn't want to it's him!

I know. I just like quoting the bible and talking about the tenants of Christianity because mire often than not being a "Good Christian" is the opposite of current conservative doctrine. I laugh at Christian Conservatives that are in favor of Trump.
I hear what your saying but at the same time can you picture George Washington kneeling? The very act of kneeling to me is weak. Stand fucken proud or walk away but fuck kneeling.
It depends on what his intent was. The act of kneeling alone means nothing unless you know for what reason the person is kneeling.
