you're consuming a lot of dairy if you are trying to cut. with the dairy comes bloat.

your main sources of protein should come from lean cuts of beef, chicken, turkey, fish - not cheese and yogurt.

have you used fitday? what's the caloric breakdown of your current diet?

Wait a minute. 148 and trying to cut? Shouldn't you be bulking? And why is 50g of protein out of the question? Cause you're not on drugs? I'm not on anything at the moment either and I still have over 50g per meal. Diet is the key component to bodybuilding.

thanks for the input. i compete ( when i do compete ) in the 60kg category.

no, it is not due to my not being on drugs. that was not an anti-drug comment by the way as I am for drugs- anabolics anyway.

i am 5 foot 4. my best weight for powerlifting was 128-132.
So I don't go up in weight as i did ( or attempted to do ) in my youth or younger years anyway.

that wasn't my meaning when I made that comment of not being on drugs. AAS improve protein efficiency so that a greater percentage of the protein ingested is assimilated. There is no great use of this extra protein if all that is to happen to it is deamination then storage as fat.

i didn't mean to have anyone infer that my diet was based upon NOt being on drugs. This is the amount of food that i can adequately handle. At approx 67-70 kg, i am getting 150-175 grams protein per day spread through 6-8 meals.

                    i don't agree with that.

i am on a contest diet and a girl. i am eating 200 grams of protein a day and am not storing it as fat.

i am your height and 128lbs and leaning down.

i think that you may store fat from the fact that you are consuming lots of simple carbs (breads, cereal, fruit, beer, and coke) and utitlizing dairy as a large source of your protein intake.

                    have you tried different diets?

this just seems not very "clean" for a cutting diet at all.

i don't agree on your definition of a fitness lifestyle. if you say that fitness is denying yourself something that you enjoy having once in a while, at the same time as taking ephedrine or M1T or TU or AAS, then your definition of a fitness lifestyle differs from mine. if you are saying that drinking alcohol inand of itself, without taking any of the other drugs mentioned is contrary to your definition of fitness lifestyle- then we simply disagree. My lifestyle incorporate some fitness elements but it is not definitive of what it is that i do.

i am not having rum and coke every night. in fact some times i have a beer. :)

like everything, people who never drink or smoke or look at porno are quick to judge people who do enjoy these things as being addicts.

this thread is about diet so any further conversation about this particular issue would best be taken to another thread.

beef and fish? nah. i sometimes eat beef but fish is not going to happen. i can deal with the slight possibility of getting mad cow disease BSE but the contaminants in fish products makes me avoid these things.

i drink every once in a while and indulge in sweets every once in a while. but since you said you were cutting, and the 2 diets you posted both included consumption of alcoholic beverages, i don't see how that's very condusive to cutting.

perhaps i should rephrase - it is counter productive to a cutting diet, and consuming alcoholic beverages (even in moderation) every night does not fit into what i would define as someone who's "dedicated" to what i see as a fitness lifestyle.

lol - are you one of those "organic" people who freak out about every little thing you hear in the news.

i know you're in canada, but what's the statistic of people who've actually contracted vCJD?

aside from mercury from too much tuna consumption, what other types of contaminants are you scared of in fish?

you are missing out on quality protein by eliminating these from your diet b/c of "fears" of contamination and disease.

IMHO, you're giving into irrational fears.

with respect to your diet and mine : different strokes for different folks.

you classify breads ( even though it is made with whole wheat flour and oatmeal ) , cereal- even though again it is ww/oatmeal with 5 grams of simple sugar in it, ) and the occasional beer ( probably 1 beer 3 times per week), coke ( diet coke ) and the fruit ( whatever is in season ); all these you say are simple sugars. i'd say that only the fruit is a simple sugar. I also eat about 1 pound of oatmeal per day on the days that i eat oatmeal. nothing else but oatmeal and protein powder.

this was 2 days of my weekly diet. as contest date gets closer, i drop certain thing from my diet while adding other things.

anyway, i have taken no offense whatsoever in any of the offerings here. and i meant none at all. i just assume that we are just rational people having an easy conversation about the common thing in our respective lives.

if your bread is truely whole grain, it would be very dense and not soft - and it would be very "crumbly". read your ingredient listing, b/c you may find that it was made with enriched wheat flour, which is no better than enriched white flour.

as far as the "oat squares" that you posted - if it's the same as the stuff i see in supermarkets here - i would say that you're still better off eating oats.

i said simple carbs, not simple sugars. simple carbs come from enriched flour, come from fruits, and come from beer. all of which are from what i can tell from what was posted, in your diet.

i only made the comments i have in the light that you said you were cutting.
