  • Coconut Oil - What do I do with this shit?

I know I have read some of you talking about how good it is for you etc..

What do I do with it and how do I incorporate it it with my food?

It heats really well, so I used it to cook my delicious pancake. A lot of people love it over popcorn, but I've never tried it. I've brushed it over vegetables before I roast them. You can use it in place of olive oil for a lot of things, just remember it's going to have a "flavor." It's great for your hair and skin, too.

Yes. It will just have some coconut flavoring to it. You could stir it in rice, too.

How is it good for you? Isn't it full of saturated fat?

Saturated fat that is natural, is good for you - more so if your diet doesn't include lots of junk carbs and fat

just cut up 2 chicken breast and half an onion and cooked it in 2 tbsp of the coconut oil served over a cup of rice. really really good. adds a completely different element to my normally boring chicken and rice meals.

                          Anyone still using this?

I brush it over just about every type of fresh vegetable and roast it in the over - really good.

Also popped fresh popcorn using just a little of this as the oil - turns out great without the nasty greasy fat. :thumb:

I never use anything but coconut oil. It's the best!

                              It's awesome for cooking.

But another technique is called 'oil pulling'. Look it up if interested. I do it here and there if my sinuses are stuffed up. It basically pulls out all the garbage/ mucus and at the end you feel like a champ (clear minded and can breathe again). Plus it makes your teeth whiter and keeps your gums healthy/ strong.
