^ bingo. but the dbol cyp is blowing me up like a water balloon it's hilarious, yet a pain in the ass. getting on the dex as we speak.
lol... I did it naturally. Went from 210 21% bodyfat to 189 with 14% bodyfat. Its a long and boring process. Results will be there over time man, just gotta keep doing it.
In the word of famous Ronnie Coleman, "If you keep doing what you do, you'll keep getting what you get."
So now i start at 245 at 17% bf and we shall see what happens in a couple months :)
I don't have a long time bro, and even if I did I love gear, I love everything about it, and I'll deal with any sides that come my way. You live once, I already ask my military buddies who juices on base lmao.
1. Do a muscle up
2. Do a handstand pushup
3. Do 3 pullups with BW + 50lbs
4. Do 3 dips with BW + 90 lbs
5. Break 7 minutes per mile for a 4 mile run
6. Add 5 lbs of muscle while continuing to stay under 10% BF
I don't care too much for size. I am training purely for strength while not gaining much size. It will work much better for my goals, since most of the goals I have are related to upper body strength vs. weight as well as speed and endurance. BTW, I am getting plenty of protein.. :)
I just need to continue my focus on my training - the strength will come.
Scrum - are the strength goals for personal plateus (sp) in the gym, or what sort of things do you do where body weight to strength ratio plays a major role ? I still think it's impressive you can do what you do eating that damn twig trail berry delight mix. :D
AOW, I've been focusing on functional fitness lately. I am targeting the type of fitness a Ranger or Navy Seal would possess - not that I am in that kind of shape, far from it, but that's the kind of fitness I am shooting for.
If you look at BUD/S training, the guys who make it through aren't built like linebackers. A 5'8, 165lbs person is more typical than a 6'0 225lb person.
I want to be strong without being bulky. Obviously you are stronger when you are more muscular, but I am looking for functional strength. For example, can I do a muscle up? In real life, that would mean whether I can scale a wall which I can get my fingertips over? Or can I run 4 miles in 28 minutes? How about 24 minutes? Having more muscles would help to an extent, but will rapidly become detrimental (see the other thread on people having trouble running). That's the kind of strength to bodyweight ratio that i am striving for.
I am 5'6" at 130lbs right now with about 10% BF. If I can get to 135lbs or 140 lbs while staying at 10% or less, I'll be pretty darn pleased. I can do about 8 reps right now with 75lbs dumbbells. That's a 1.15 ratio. I can shoulder press 50lb dumbbells. I want to shoulder press my body weight. I've a ways to go there. I can do 5-8 dips with 60lbs strapped to a dip chain - can I get to 90lbs? How about body weight added on? Doing a pullup wtih body weight added on is a hallmark of a true physical badass - that will get me to the promised land - the one arm pullup. Someday I will get there :)

I hear you loud and clear bro - that's what I figured you were shooting for. That type of body / muscle / mind control takes a lot of dedication, getting my bloated ass around doing dips and what not is brutal, but i stay with a lot of agility exercises - continue cardio and stick w/body weight , body weight + exercises.
That being said, I find that any exercise I do like that I can just as easily do pull ups then a set of pull downs behind the neck and squeeze it real well for an amazing pump. Achieving both of my goals :D. Dunno how much of the size I can maintain when I'll be running a ton, depends a lot where I go and who I'm placed with.

It depends on your body. MY friend who went into the marines prolly 6'2" 250-260 came out of boot camp prolly around 230-235; he kept all his muscle just shed the BF, even when he went overseas came back just as big. And I know a hundred percent he never ran anything; just one of those naturally big people.

good point bro, depends on multiple variables honestly - at that point my main concern wont be whose getting gear on base though frankly, got other "minor" things to be concerned of.
